• Closure of Probationary European Logical Data Center and Worlds

  The European logical data center, Shadow, and the probationary Worlds released to mitigate potential congestion following the launch of Dawntrail will be shut down on Tuesday, August 27. We ask that players visiting probationary Worlds using the Data Center Travel system return to their Home World before the closure.
  
  Please note that from Thursday, August 15 at 8:00 p.m. (PDT), it will no longer be possible to visit probationary Worlds via Data Center Travel.
  

  Schedule

  • Data Center Travel requests to probationary Worlds will no longer be accepted as of Thursday, August 15 at 8:00 p.m. (PDT).
  • Probationary Worlds will be shut down on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
    * We are planning a maintenance period to coincide with the closure. For further details, please refer to the upcoming announcement post.
    * Characters visiting the Shadow logical data center will be automatically transferred to their Home Worlds at the end of the maintenance period.

  The Dawntrail: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack is set to release on Wednesday, October 30. The Blu-ray Music disc will feature 66 tracks from the Dawntrail expansion, including the main theme and tracks from the Arcadion: Light-heavyweight raids, accompanied by stunning visuals!

• World Visit & Data Center Travel Changes Based on World Classifications

  We appreciate everyone's cooperation with our congestion countermeasures during the launch of Dawntrail.
  
  As of today, the previously announced travel restrictions will be lifted from the World Visit System and Data Center Travel; however, Patch 7.05 will introduce new regulations based on World classifications to promote the even distribution of players across our Worlds.

  Standard Worlds with no Congested Worlds within the same Logical Data Center

  • World Visit Login Capacity: Standard
  • Data Center Travel Login Capacity: Standard

  Standard Worlds with one or more Congested Worlds within the same Logical Data Center

  • World Visit Login Capacity: Standard
  • Data Center Travel Login Capacity: Greatly Reduced

  New and Preferred Worlds

  • World Visit Login Capacity: Standard
  • Data Center Travel Login Capacity: Increased

  Congested Worlds

  • World Visit Login Capacity: Reduced
  • Data Center Travel Login Capacity: Greatly Reduced

  * When a World (regardless of classification) has reached maximum World Visit or Data Center Travel capacity, players will be unable to visit that World through the respective traveling method.
  
  Furthermore, visiting characters that are logged out on that World will need to return to their Home World from the character selection menu to log in.

  View the current classifications for each World as of Patch 7.05.
  
  World classifications will change over time depending on the population of each server. Please refer to the official site for the latest information.
