Yango (ヤンゴ)? is the President's close associate and is the main antagonist in Pretty Cure Miracle Universe. As an officer from the Universe Police Department, he ensures that nothing threatens the universe's peace. On the President's command, he hunts down Piton and the Pretty Cure, as they are seen as responsible for the Miracle Light's sparkle disappearing. It is later revealed, however, that he is the culprit responsible for the malfunction at the factory that Piton blames himself for, and his true identity is the evil Space Demon King (スペース魔王).

Appearance[]
Yango is a crow-like alien. He wears a pair of red glasses, a blue bow tie and a navy blue suit with red accents. His gloves and boots are both black.
When he's the Space Demon King, he looks like the components of the shadows with a cube-like eye, but when powered up by those followers who are cheering for darkness, he gains a serpentine form that resembles Quetzalcoatl from Mayan Mythology.
Personality[]
Yango is pretentious and conniving, having planned to destroy the power of Miracle Lights as a means to conquer the universe. He also appears to be jealous of the support the Cures receive, which is why he brainwashed the citizens in space so he could be supported instead. His pride and arrogance are his biggest weaknesses.
History[]
Sometime before the movie, Yango enlisted himself as a new officer of the Universe Police Department, and joined the Miracle Lights factory. He then devised a plan to cause the manufacturing to malfunction and shifted the blame onto the innocent Piton, by infesting the Miracle Light materials with his evil powers.
Throughout the movie, Yango continues to play nice to hide his true intentions, mainly acting as the leading officer who pursued Piton. After watching Piton's Miracle Light shine and stop his shadows in front of Star, Yell, Ange and Etoile, he begins to think of a new plan, even though he reluctantly joins their alliance.
At the Miracle Station, he orders his officers to set up a birdcage to trap all the Cures. When Piton tries to hand over his Light, Yango, who is actually the Space Demon King, reveals his true colors. He continues his plan to conquer the universe with his shadows. Using his powers, he brainwashes all the inhabitants of space, including the citizens in all of the Pretty Cures' respective worlds, to support him with Dark Lights. This allows him to overpower the Cures, turn them back into civilians, and leave them suspended in space as darkness consumes them.
However, after Piton's Miracle Light regains its shine, the Cures regain their powers and free everyone from his brainwashing, ultimately overpowering him. In the end, he is shown caged for his crimes and reluctantly cheers the Cures and Piton during the ceremony.
