The Hope of Aldera was a GR-75 medium transport that was part of an Alderaanian refugee convoy after the destruction of Alderaan. The fleet of Imperial Commodore Rae Sloane was ordered to destroy the convoy, but failed to prevent the convoy from escaping, due to the defection of Captain Lindon Javes with assistance from the Rebel Alliance's Echo Squadron. It shared its name with Aldera, the capital city of Alderaan.^[1]
