Krow is a villain appearing in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. He is an enforcer of the Kremling Krew and the boss of Gangplank Galleon. After his first defeat at the hands of Diddy and Dixie Kong, he came back for revenge as Kreepy Krow, a ghost and boss of Gloomy Gulch, only to be defeated again.
History[]
When Diddy and Dixie Kong came to Crocodile Isle to rescue Donkey Kong from the clutches of Kaptain K. Rool, they first had to fight their way throughout his mainship, the Gangplank Galleon. After reaching the very top of the enormous ship, they see that the "crow's nest" is literally a nest of eggs belonging to a huge mini-necky named Krow, one of K. Rool's top officers and apparent guardian of the vessel. Upon seeing the Kongs reach his nest, Krow becomes enraged and attacks them by grabbing eggs from his nest and throwing them at the simians. However, the duo were able to grab these eggs and throw them back at him. After a couple of hits, Krow becomes desperate and rams into the mast to make eggs rain down on the Kongs, but this accomplishes nothing. After several hits, Krow is knocked out cold, and the Kongs are able to press foward from the ship.
At some point after being beaten, Krow apparently died, likely from the injuries he sustained (comfirmed in the GBA version) or was executed by K. Rool for failiure. However, his hatred for the Kongs was so strong that it enabled his spirit to remain on Earth as Kreepy Krow. He then made his new home at a faux crow's nest in the already haunted Gloomy Gulch, where he waited for the Kongs to arrive. When they did, Kreepy Krow wasted no time in his attack. First, he commanded several ghostly Mini-Neckies, along with a living one, to attack the Kongs, but they were able to best them, and by attacking the living Mini-Necky, they can aquire a barrel to attack Kreepy Krow with. After hitting him, Krow flies up higher and the Kongs chase after him while avoiding all the dead eggs thrown at them from all directions. Kreepy Krow then repeats this strategy twice, but after getting hit the third time, the undead avian realizes that he will never defeat the Kongs and explodes out of frustration, finally reaching the afterlife.
