This is my last opportunity to demonstrate the value I add for guests. If you promise not to ignore me during your visit, I can offer you a Fazbear experience like no other. And remember, it is all free for the day. Do you promise not to abandon me?
~ The VIP's deal with Devon and Ike.
Use the gamepad to keep track of your tokens and points as you play. Remember: If you run out of tokens before you reach a thousand points, you automatically lose—and you will become an only child.
~ The Very Informative Pig reminding Devon of his game.

The Very Informative Pig, or VIP for short, is the titular main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's interactive novel VIP, released as part of the franchise's 10th year anniversary.

He is a long-deactivated feature of the Pizzaplex, which had mysteriously come back online in recent weeks. His main function is to invite random Pizzaplex-goers in a five-mile radius of the local that hadn't visited in six or more months and give them two VIP passes for themself and a guest.

However, if one of the VIPs breaks their promise to never leave the Very Informative Pig, he will go kidnap their companion to force the VIP to play a twisted game, wherein if they don't get a score higher than a thousand with just five Faz-Tokens, they will both die. Two such VIP guests were Devon and Ike, the protagonists of the story. Now, Devon's, Ike's, and even the Very Informative Pig's ultimate fates are up to the player to decide.

Appearance[]

In the cover and little illustrations found in the book, VIP is a small cartoonish pig with rosey cheeks, reminiscent of the renditions of the Glamrock Animatronics, dressed in a formal purple suit jacket, a black top hat, and a large purple bowtie with a big polka-dot pattern. He wears round glasses so large that they actually magnify his eyes, making them look bigger than they are. However, in the book descriptions, he's described as just donning an oversized black suit jacket and a loose red tie instead.

In his physical form, VIP is a large rotor-hovering screen in the center of his own server room, with his own face on it. Should VIP get nervous in this state, small glimpses of his wireframe will show up instead.

Personality[]

Thank you. Stick with me and we will have oodles of fun together!
~ VIP after introducing himself to Devon and Ike.

Very Informative Pig first presents himself as an overly amicable, considerate and a helpy child-like companion to the VIP and premium guests of the Pizzaplex. He claims he can accurately anticipate what they want and what's on their best interests to enhance their visit, as well as answer any question about the local they might have.

Due to being discarded for being too underused by Pizzaplex guests to the point parents didn't want to pay for his services, VIP seems to have developed an awfully low self-steem and an obsession with proving himself useful and knowledgeable, even when the darker parts of his personality come to light. Alongside his insecurity, he developed serious attachment and abandonment issues to the point that it started to "shake" when Devon even considered leaving him.

Despite everything, the VIP seems to be a man of his word, as he remains unagressive to Devon and Ike if they listen to him and keep their promise and claims that a deal is a deal when Devon manages to get 100,000 points and gets to have a physical meeting with him, even if it clearly meant that he would be deactivated.

YOU LIED, DEVON.
~ The VIP's mantra left on every Faz-Arcade.

When a VIP guest breaks a promise they did to the Very Informative Pig, typically to not abandon him, he enters an aggressive and manic state where his sense of morality is completely lost, instead focusing on punishing those that had wronged him by kidnapping their loved ones and forcing them to play a highly improbable, twisted game of getting a thousand points with just five Faz-Tokens. He even claims that Devon completely cheated his way to victory if he does get the thousand points, without realizing that he had been watching him the whole time.

He seems to believe that he's completely justified in torturing mere kids this way, as he's shown in multiple Game Overs to have done this at least four different times and left the bodies to rot, showing absolute apathy at them. If Devon chooses to call his mother for help when the VIP reveals himself, he will even brainwash Ike into coming back to the Pizzaplex and vanishing. VIP also gains a snarky sense of humor, often poking fun at Devon's situation and making jokes at his expense.

When he's finally face to face with Devon physically, his cowardice starts to show as he realizes that he no longer has the upper hand on him to the point he even attempts to flee from him and begs to him, even as a giant screen.

Trivia[]

  • In the story's true ending, Devon deactivates a massive power strip that is described as a with a tangle of dozens of cables plugged in it. Some fans believe that this is none other than a Storyteller branch and that the Very Informative Pig was reactivated and acting up because he was corrupted by the Mimic1 program. Some others speculate that the VIP is the Mimic itself, taking on the guise of the friendly Virtual Informative Pigs just like it will later do to Helpy as Helpi.
    • However, the story very explicitly takes place before the Storyteller is installed (Monty is still a freshly-introduced animatronic as of VIP, but he is already fairly-known by "The Storyteller"; The only thing that could possibly indicate otherwise is that Glamrock Chica is described as being white instead of yellow, but that could easily just be a mistake), so while VIP could still be a Mimic, it cannot be part of the Storyteller.
  • When the cover of the book was first revealed, many assumed that VIP had a "capitalist pig" motif due to his elegant clothes and the fact he was surrounded by tickets.
