Summary

Chase is a kid who has recently turned 10 in the world of Pokémon, and was promptly sent to Professor Oak's Lab to receive his very first Pokémon. However, a Pikachu from parts unknown found him and encouraged him to catch him. Upon doing so, the Pikachu rolled his Poke Ball all the way to Oak's Lab, officially kicking off their unexpected friendship. From there, they went off on countless adventures to defeat all 8 Pokémon Gyms, defeat the Elite Four and become the Kanto League Champion, complete the Pokédex, conquer all 153 Master Trainers, master Mega Evolution, and even defeat the old Kantrio.

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius, is the greatest Pokémon mind on the planet, having completely filled the Kanto Pokedex and defeated the Master Trainers for every single Pokémon on the list, making him the Grand Master of all 153 Master Trainers, every single one of which already being far above the Elite Four. After he beat Red, he received the Battle Master title from him, implying Red had been the greatest Trainer on Earth. Took down the Team Rocket of the GO timeline. His Pikachu is so smart that just by learning 2 Secret Techniques out of 5 he was already considered significantly smart for a Pokémon.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Friendship: As a Pokémon trainer, Chase's greatest weapon is his bond with his Pokémon. Thanks to his journey with Elaine through Kanto, all of his Pokémon love him very much. Thanks to this power, Chase's Pokémon:
  • Support Play: Chase shakes his hand in the air and summons Elaine, who suddenly runs onto the battlefield from out of nowhere to help Chase out in battle, turning any combat scenario into a 2 against 1. Much like how Chase has Partner Pikachu, Elaine has Partner Eevee, who is exactly as strong and has most of the abilities that Pikachu does.
  • Hyper Training: In matches with preparation time, Chase can visit a man in the Day Care Center that will Hyper Train his Pokémon , giving them perfect IVs in exchange for Bottle Caps, increasing their potential even further. It should be noted that Partner Pikachu already has flawless potential.
  • Mega Evolution: On top of Chase's already insurmountable power, he can Mega Evolve some of his Pokémon to unlock even more strength. Mega Evolution is a transformation that eligible Pokémon may undergo which increases their strength, speed, and durability dramatically, as well as changes their biological typing to become weaker or more resistant to different elemental attacks.

Signature moves:

  • Zippy Zap: A move similar to Volt Tackle in which its user coats itself in electricity and moves at impossible speeds, slamming hard into the opponent. This move always lands before the opponent makes a move, always scores a Critical Hit, and is as accurate as Thunderbolt which is described as being unable to miss.
  • Floaty Fall: The user creates balloons around itself similar to the ones on the Flying Machine in Sky Dash and dives at a steep angle to attack the target. This move has a chance to cause the opponent to flinch.
  • Splishy Splash: The user creates a massive wave of water with their electric power which then covers the opponent. Due to the electricity in the water, this move has a chance to paralyze the opponent.
  • Pika Papow: Pikachu sends massive amounts of electricity into the sky, which then carpet bombs the opponent's side of the field. The more Pikachu loves Chase, the more damage this attack deals. This move will never miss under any circumstance.
    • Pikachu’s support: If another Pokémon is in battle besides Pikachu, he can expend his Pika Papow to give them a boost to their stats in every category.

Secret Techniques: Secret Techniques are much like the original 6 HM moves, however they are different in that they don’t take up move slots because they’re not technically moves, and for this same reason they don’t even require stamina for the user to perform. Humans can also learn these moves for some reason, in fact that was their original purpose.

  • Chop Down: Allows Pikachu to slice things in half, such as thin trees
  • Sky Dash: Pikachu spawns a flying machine and flies into the sky, getting himself and Chase anywhere in Kanto in a short time period
  • Sea Skim: Pikachu spawns a surfboard, which can be surfed on to reach any water destination
  • Strong Push: Pikachu’s body lights up with orange energy, allowing him to push heavy objects
  • Light Up: Light emanates from Pikachu’s body, allowing clear vision of even pitch-black environments

Weaknesses: Pikachu can only perform Pika Papow once per battle. For an unknown reason, Chase's Pikachu absolutely refuses to evolve, and he will get impatient if he doesn't battle for prolonged periods of time. Pikachu can't perform Pikachu's support on himself.

Feats:

  • Taught Partner Pikachu all 5 Secret Techniques, becoming the first Trainer to ever do so
  • Filled his Pokedex with all 153 known Pokémon
  • Defeated the Elite Four, who are the 4 strongest Pokémon trainers in the world
  • Defeated the current Pokémon League Champion, taking his title of strongest in the world for himself
  • Defeated and caught Mewtwo, an unstoppable Pokémon far superior to any other in the Pokedex
  • Defeated every single Master Trainer, proving that he has the strongest iteration of every known Pokémon, earning him the title of Grand Master Trainer
  • Saved up for and bought the Crown, the most expensive item in all of GO

Note:

  • To catch the 3 Legendary Birds and Mewtwo, Chase had to KO them before the catching phase began, meaning he did fully defeat them in battle.
  • Whether Chase has powerful versions of Alolan Pokémon can be left up to the discretion of the creator of the VS match, as there are no Alolan Master Trainers that he could have defeated, though all Alolan Kanto Pokemon can be traded for infinitely.
  • As usual, the Pokémon Evolutions short is considered noncanon to Let's Go, as Chase is portrayed as the canon protagonist instead of Elaine virtually everywhere else and nearly the entire short conflicts with the game's actual events.
