"Doomsday Clock"[]

Arlo first appears during a flashback in Issue 43 standing alongside his fellow Woodbury Army soldiers before riding to the prison's gates. Andy participates in the assault on the prison and is the second casualty. Twenty feet from the Governor's right flank, Andy jerks backward after being directly headshot by Andrea. A piece of his skull is propelled through the air on a fountain of blood as he tumbles backward into the tall grass.

Andy's body is collected and buried by the other soldiers after retreating from the first attack. He is the only death from the first attack who Lilly can't remember the name of. Austin sadly tells her his name while he is laid to rest.

Trivia[]

  • In the Novel Series, it states that Andy is the second victim of the assault. However the circumstances surrounding his death differ to the comic, as in the novel, he's shot in the head and in the comic Andy is shot through the neck.
    • This is likely an error or oversight.
    • It's also worth noting that the first death in the comic and novel, Arlo's death, is also reversed. Dying from a neck shot in the novel and a headshot in the comic. It's possible that Andy is actually the first death in the comic, however Arlo's description only matches up with that character and not the second.
