Cargo market in ETS2 Beyond the Baltic Sea Euro Truck 2 Guide

Last update: 04 March 2019

This is the third available way of earning money. The first one are quick orders (where you don't even need a vehicle), the second one is consignment market (where you must have your own truck). The third one, the cargo market, requires you to have your own truck and a trailer.

Taking orders

You search for orders similarly as in two previous cases, except that first you must click the cargo market icon - Cargo market in ETS2 Beyond the Baltic Sea - Whats new? - Euro Truck Simulator 2 Game Guide

You search for orders similarly as in two previous cases, except that first you must click the cargo market icon. The available orders depend on what trailers you have. As always, look for most orders that provide best income per one kilometer. Other factors, like necessity to ride through a country with worse roads and having to use a boat, are important as well.

After selecting an order you must go to the company from which you will take the cargo - Cargo market in ETS2 Beyond the Baltic Sea - Whats new? - Euro Truck Simulator 2 Game Guide

After selecting an order you must go to the company from which you will take the cargo. Of course, you must have a trailer attached to your truck. After confirming the order, you can park at the gate in the loading area. You can also skip this (and lose 15 XP).

After placing the vehicle in the right position you must wait for the cargo - Cargo market in ETS2 Beyond the Baltic Sea - Whats new? - Euro Truck Simulator 2 Game Guide

After placing the vehicle in the right position you must wait for the cargo. Then you can move. The rest of the work is same as in case of other deliveries.

Is it profitable?

To put it simply: YES - Cargo market in ETS2 Beyond the Baltic Sea - Whats new? - Euro Truck Simulator 2 Game Guide

To put it simply: YES. If you compare the prices for delivering the same products in deliveries and in cargo modes, there are differences - you can check them by yourself.

For example, the average price per kilometer for transporting tiles is:

  1. deliveries - about 30 Euro / km,
  2. cargo - about 37 Euro / km.

Average price per kilometer for transporting beer is:

  1. deliveries - about 28 Euro / km,
  2. cargo - about 37 Euro / km.

Average price per kilometer for transporting medical equipment, one of the more profitable transport types, is:

  1. deliveries - about 47 Euro / km,
  2. cargo - about 58 Euro / km.

In many examples you can notice that the difference in payout is about 20-25% (with same or similar parameters).

Despite the fact that you must invest in a trailer and despite having to wait for the cargo to be loaded, it is profitable. It is also harder from the logistic point of view since you must manage the trailer parking position. It is worth the effort.
