This page of the guide to New World is dedicated to War Hammer skills, one of the slowest but most damaging weapons in the game. You'll learn how to increase the damage you deal with a War Hammer and all of the skills related to this weapon.

Juggernaut - active skills

Armor Breaker - a powerful blow that ignores 35% of the target's armor and deals 140% weapon damage.

  1. Indomitable - applies Grit during the attack, making it impossible to interrupt.
  2. Lasting Trauma - Armor Breaker inflicts rend, reducing the target's damage absorption by 15% for 10 seconds.
  3. Opening Act - increases Armor Breaker's damage by 15% against full health targets.

Mighty Gavel - a lunge overhead attack dealing 160% weapon damage.

  1. Summary Judgment - increases Mighty Gavel's damage by 20% against targets with less than 30% health.
  2. Impact Fracture - increases stamina loss caused by hammer attacks by 25%.
  3. Expedite - hitting a target with Mighty Gavel grants Haste, increasing movement speed by 30% for 3 seconds.
  4. Justice for All - perform a basic attack during Mighty Gavel to make a second attack, dealing 200% weapon damage.

Wrecking Ball - hit the ground next to the target with your hammer, dealing 120% target and knocking the target down.

  1. Safety Measures - You gain Fortify on a successful hit, obtaining 20% damage resistance for 4 seconds.
  2. Breathing Room - knocks down all other targets within 1.5 meters of the target.

Juggernaut - passive skills

Epitome of Bonk - increases basic attacks' armor penetration by 10%.

Hammer Time - landing a heavy attack grants Empower, increasing your damage by 20% for 4 seconds.

Exhaustive Attacks - all War Hammer skills apply Exhaust, reducing the target's stamina regen by 15% for 5 seconds (doesn't stack).

Hardened Steel - adds Grit to heavy War Hammer attacks and reduces damage taken by 20% when the heavy attack Grit is active (Grit gives resistance to stagger, making your attacks impossible to interrupt).

Contemption - heavy attacks deal 15% bonus damage against targets with less than 30% health.

Quick Recovery - heavy attacks reduce skill recovery time by 7%.

Power Through Pain - deal 3% additional damage for 1 second after taking damage.

Crowd Crusher - active skills

Shockwave - hit the ground with your hammer, causing a 3m AoE tremor dealing 80% weapon damage. All targets hit are Stunned for 2 seconds.

  1. Frailty - The attack applies Weakness, reducing the target's damage by 10% for 10 seconds.
  2. Meteoric Crater - increases the AoE's radius to 4m.

Clear Out - a wide swing which knocks enemies back 4 meters and deals 115% weapon damage.

  1. Power Cleaner - hitting a target with Clear Out applies Fortify, granting all alies within a 6m radius 10% extra defense for 4 seconds.
  2. Clean And Refreshed - Reduces Clear Out's cooldown by 5% for each enemy it hit.
  3. Swing Away - hitting a target with Clear Out grants Haste, increasing movement speed by 30% for 3 seconds.

Path Of Destiny - a powerful ground pound which unleashes an energy wave in front of the player character, dealing 110% weapon damage to all targets in its path.

  1. Seismic Waves - Path of Destiny staggers all targets.
  2. Stimulated Reduction- reduces cooldown by 5% for each enemy hit with Path of Destiny.

Crowd Crusher - passive skills

Outnumbered - increases damage absorption by 10% when at least two enemies are within 3m of you.

I Can Do This All Day - reduces stamina loss by 30% when blocking melee attacks.

Facilitated Expedition - hitting a target with an active negative effect applies Haste, increasing movement speed by 15% for 3 seconds.

Guarded Sprint - reduces damage received by 10% while sprinting.

Acceleration - reduces War Hammer's cooldowns by 7% when using light attacks against targets with a negative effect active.

Concussive Impact - 15% bonus damage against targets with an active negative effect caused by the War Hammer.

Prevailing Spirit - Restores health equal to 35% damage dealt when using Crowd Crusher's abilities.

Resurgence - making 2 light attacks with a War Hammer reduces the duration of negative effects applied to you by 25%. This skill can be used once every 5 seconds.

Aftershock - When a target is affected by one of the Crowd Control effects, it's additionally slowed down by 20% for 4 seconds.
