Energy Cell is a special battery in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, that powers all Zonai Devices. In our guide, we explain how to activate devices, how to charge the battery, and how to upgrade the Energy Cell in the Crystal Refinery. You will also learn how to obtain Crystallized Charges.

How to get an Energy Cell?

A new feature of Tears of the Kingdom are Zonai devices that can be combined with each other to create various machines, vehicles and weapons. Each device activated by Link requires energy for proper functioning. Energy Cell is the source of energy for Zonai devices.

In Crystal Refinery, you can exchange Crystallized Charges for an Energy Cell upgrade. Crystallized Charge can be obtained by exchanging Zonite at the Forge Construct.

For 3 Zonaites you get 1 Crystallized Charge. To upgrade the Energy Cell, you will need as many as 100 Crystllized Charges.
