You will see an equivalent of technology. Daemons of Chaos don't have research typical for other races, but receive gifts from the gods instead. During the campaign, you will be able to earn points from individual gods, which will unlock new mechanics and units of a given faction. These mechanics are included in a list divided into 5 parts: Chaos Undivided Glory, Khorne Glory, Nurgle Glory, Slaanesh Glory, Tzeentch Glory.

One of the ways to earn glory points is offering victory in battle to one of the deities. The bigger the battle, the more glory you will receive in return. Unfortunately, this comes at a cost of other options that the other factions have (refilling lost units after battle and increase in gold).

Another way to get glory is to devote a conquered settlement to one of the gods. This additionally allows you to build structures of a given faction, and thus recruit its army. You can have settlements devoted to different deities within the same province.

Dedication

After earning 3080 glory points for one of the deities, you will be able to make Dedication to them.

This will give you access to unique bonuses from the god of a given faction (i.e. unique mechanics) and to more powerful units. But beware - if you choose one of the deities, you won't be able to collect more glory points from others. This means that you won't be able to access perks and units of other nations that you haven't unlocked yet.

The solution is to make Dedication to all gods at the same time. You can then continue to gain glory for other faction. Additionally further development of Chaos Undivided Glory allows you to recruit all the more advanced units from the remaining "trees". However, this will not give you access to the unique faction bonuses of other races.

Daemonic Glory is also tied to the development of the legendary lord. Your faction leader does not have equipment like other heroes.

Corruption

Due to their mechanics and "cooperation" with all gods of chaos, Daemons of Chaos are in a very favorable position when it comes to corruption. They are resistant to all kinds of daemonic influence. This means that when the Rifts appear, they don't have to worry that the provinces will fall into unrest due to said influence. This allows you to delegate your military forces and attention to other things.
