Lucy Holland is the bestselling author of SISTERSONG, a reimagining of the folk ballad ‘The Twa Sisters’. The book was a finalist for the Goldsboro Books Glass Bell Award and the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel in 2022. SONG OF THE HUNTRESS, her second historical fantasy novel, is published in 2024.

As Lucy Hounsom, she wrote the Worldmaker Trilogy. Her first book, STARBORN, was shortlisted in the 2016 Gemmell Awards for Best Fantasy Debut. She worked twelve years in corporate account sales for Waterstones Booksellers before becoming a full-time author.

The next book is a feminist sapphic recasting of the Wild Hunt and Erlking myths, set 180 years after Sistersong in the same world and same setting (Cornwall). There are three main characters: Herla, cursed immortal leader of the Hunt, Ine, the current king of Wessex, and Cryda, an orphan raised in a celtic monastery. All three are naturally more than they seem :) I'm still in the middle of writing it so won't give too much of the plot away as it's likely to change lol. Expect the sidhe and the kingdom of Mercia to make appearances though...and I also seem unable to keep Myrdhin the wanderer out of the story 😅(less)
