Sorry I take so long to respond. I have been out 'scouting' around to see the score-on-the-door for Sacajawea and it is coming back to me as a two thumbs up!
Are they chocolate cupcakes? are they DOUBLE chocolate cupcakes?
*swoons with longing/vapours/bustle rub/chocolate deprivation*

Awesome idea & name & pic for the list, Bettie!
Oh, and Susanna - good call on Russka. I think I've forgotten that I've read more gorillas than I realized!

Thankee Cindy - it was kind of a joint idea with Susanna. I think we have all read more Gorillaz than we initially thought we had!
I didn't remember that 'The Sunne In Splendour' was so long. I recall thinking that 'I Know This Much Is True' would have been better with another hundred pages or so. They are the only two gorillas I think I've read...

Well, not exactly double chocolate cupcakes. More like chocolate with um green buttercream icing. M's choice! Still quite tasty.

And Shogun has been listed twice with two different editions... I'm a librarian, but I don't know how to handle that... over to you Susanna!

So a little confusion here paperback or hard back? the page length varies between these sometimes by 50 or more pages.

Vote for the edition that has over 800 pages and you are on the scoreboard

And presumably no one has added an edition with more reviewers, as that would be dominant on combine.
The way you have spelt Gorillaz here made me think it was something to do with Damon Albarn's virtual trip-hop band.
I noticed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) being on #1. I immediately checked my own Dutch copy, because I was fairly sure the book I'd read wasn't over 800 pages. It turned out my Dutch translation is less than 700 pages... Bearing in mind that Dutch texts are usually slightly longer than the same texts in English, it set me wondering... :-) Bettie, how does one determine whether or not a book is over 800 pages long...?
The edition of Daniel Deronda (#49) mentioned is less than 800 pages. So is the edition of The Quincunx (#54). The mentioned edition of The Brothers Karamazov (#13) is less than 800 pages as well (which is odd, as my Dutch paperback translation is nearly 1200 pages). I very much doubt whether The Pickwick Papers (#33) will be long enough, discounting notes and so on, as the edition mentioned has only 801 pages...
P.S.
Don't get me wrong, I do like your list :-)

Hello there - the version listed as #1 here is the scholastic version: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... which comes in at 870 pages and fits the bill.
To remove an edition of a book that does not fit the bill requires a librarian, which I am not, and most of the librarians who are still around on grramazon quite rightly refuse to do any librariany type things since all their hard work was undone earlier this year.
We still have fun where we can find it and hope you will too.

If you spot something that is wrong then please feel free to do a little spring-cleaning. Thanks Booklovinglady.
I recommend a no Young Adult book stipulation for a list like this. As people looking for massive tomes, aren't normally looking for YA books.

Aaaw Andrew, as you can see, this list has items from all the genres, which is just how I wanted it to be: a list for everyone to enjoy and add to. No exclusions.
And people looking for massive tombs are, in the main, pharonic by nature. LOL
Happy New Year, everyone.

I just think it's a bit funny that some had to get that one Harry Potter book on the list, even though it's a mid series book.
I come to lists to find new books to read that fit the category. So, seeing a mid series book on the list because it's the only book in the series that fits the criteria does not help me in anyway shape or form.
