Honestly I would read a full length novel of them. I’m constantly impressed by authors who manage to write a novella with such a compelling a plot and smut so hot you start sweating. Getting that balance right is HARD and Nouha nails it every single time!
We desperately need more sapphic dark romances, so I am very happy that Nouha wrote this!! ...more

The pacing just felt off for me more than anything. It was really slow going until about 40% and then we got some big reveals that didn’t really make sense, and honestly felt random. Idk. I still had fun reading this, because Amber does have a really great writing style, but I definitely liked book one more ...more

I will say, it was a bit insta lovey for me, but listen if I was Calia I would fall for Rion immediately too lol.
I did however LOVE the plus size rep in a romantasy/paranormal book! I also adored the dermatillomania representation, as someone with trichotillomania, this was such a lovely surprise to come across ...more

One thing I especially appreciated were the elements that you don’t typically see in romance books. Such as sex scenes that don’t end with an or**asm (due to her anxiety medication), but are still intimate. Additionally there was excellent anxiety and CPTSD representation. I have both of these and felt very seen by the portrayal of it in Cameron & Daphne.
This is easily my favorite of Kels & Denise’s books so far. Truly remarkable!...more

Oh I fear this ATE. I took me a couple chapters to really fall into this world, but once I was in I literally couldn’t put this book down! First of all, the aesthetic is incredible and so unique and exciting. Second of all? The ROMANCE?! Like are you joking. It was so good!!
Now I don’t have OCD, so I can’t speak on the accuracy of the representation, however the author has it and talks more about in her authors note. But as someone with a mental illness, the way this was portrayed is so close to what I experience with my own anxiety. I loved it, truly.
I’m eagerly awaiting Enchantra’s release!
P. S. While this is part of a series it’s looking like this one could be read as a standalone. Book two will be following a different character. ...more

Elizabeth rThis series is honestly so fun, and such a lovely & diverse addition to historical romance. I especially loved the disability rep in this! Elizabeth refers to how she’s feeling each day with percentages, for example she’ll say, “I’m operating at 50%”, which again I LOVED. Also Stephen is very much a tease and has such strong golden retriever energy. He starts purposefully not wearing a shirt to tease her at one point because he knows how much she likes him. Their banter was honesty so funny to me. Lastly, they both don’t want kids and I demand more of this vibe in romance books. Happy endings don’t always include children, and we need more representation of this.
Now, I will say the plot was a little unhinged and camp for me, so it wasn’t my FAV, but I still loved this book and would def recommend!...more

Dion & Aria’s story is honestly everything I wanted and more. It spans years, is full of pain and longing, and yes a lot of spice (Dion is a freaky freak y’all). But truly, Nouha’s masterful at balancing everything that is going on their story.
Dion & Aria have a one night stand and he immediately becomes obsessed. One problem, Dion is part of a rival family, & Aria is forcibly engaged to a man that turns out to be abusive. Their love story spans years as Aria’s engagement and wedding get delayed (due to the plot PLOTTING), and Dion is frantically trying to save her. Aria also has her own demons she is trying to battle. This book is quite dark & there are some more taboo kinks, so keep that in mind when reading. While this could be read as a standalone, personally I would recommend reading this series in order, because the timeline does overlap.
Nouha really puts the P in PLOT because I was on the edge of my seat reading this. I legitimately could not put it down! Personally, I think Nouha killed it with this book. It was phenomenal, and I think it may be my new favorite of hers.
