OK, so this another erotic romance trilogy with a billionaire in a penthouse but it’s a really good one with a modern day Cinderella theme. It’s dreamily romantic with plenty of emotional drama and eroticism with the perfect hero to root for in Ethan Wilde and a sweetheart of a heroine that we can easily identify with in Angelica Lawson.
It’s not insta-love but it sure is insta-lust as the very first chapter smoulders with erotic heat. Ethan and Angel spot each other across a crowded restaurant and their attraction is undeniable and incendiary and they just can’t resist that erotic pull between them which leads to a highly charged, super hot encounter in a closet. They don’t even speak and Angel beats a hasty retreat accidentally leaving behind a diamond pendant (see the Cinderella theme?) and that is all Ethan has to trace her as she disappears into the night.
Oh, Ethan Wilde – be still my beating heart. This is one incredibly hot, mega-possessive and very sexual billionaire. He can’t get Angel out of his head and sets about pursuing her in earnest. Ethan is American but has lived in London for a long time so he has a British accent – he’s actually very wordy with a vast vocabulary and very gentlemanly and this all adds to his appeal. He’s a man that knows what he wants and what he wants is Angel. He’s falling hard and fast for her and that is bringing out his possessiveness and protectiveness and he can hardly stand to be apart from her. I developed a serious crush on Ethan – not only is he very sexy and protective of his new girlfriend, he’s also very caring and doesn’t appear to be carrying much emotional baggage himself. Or does he?

Angel, at the beginning of the book, is very much the single girl about town in New York City. She revels in her independence and doesn’t think that she needs a man in her life, only casual hook-ups, but nothing can prepare her for how hard she’s about to fall for Ethan. Angel has a troubled past having been brought up by a very cold-hearted father after her mother died and I really did feel for her. She’s carrying around a huge amount of guilt for something for which she’s been blamed by her rat bastard of a father and she’s struggling to move on from this. Ethan seethes at this and his attempts to get her to talk and reassure her that she wasn’t to blame really were profoundly emotional. Every girl needs an Ethan!
As this is the first part of an erotic romance trilogy, there’s a lot of scene setting here as we get to know the main characters. I had a bit of a soft spot for Angel’s best friend Jia who’s snarky, bitchy, sassy but fiercely loyal. Also, Jackson, Ethan’s right hand man – I just adored him too. There’s no cliffhanger at the end of this one but it’s clear that the story is only just beginning. Angel definitely has a stalker and that’s terrifying Ethan and, although we got to know a lot about Angel, Ethan is still a bit of a closed book. There’s a few hints at troubles in his past but they’re not yet expanded on and I suspect this will be the theme for the books to come.

So, Bound For Hell, is the opener for what promises to be a memorable erotic romance trilogy. It’s very much an emotional roller-coaster as these two fall fast and hard for each other and attempt to overcome their personal difficulties together. . It all felt so incredibly real to me – nobody is perfect, everybody has flaws, they disagree, they scream and yell at each other, fight like cat and dog and indulge in lots of seriously hot make-up sex! There’s great emotional intensity to the sex scenes which will have you all sighing happily.
Dreamily romantic and erotically charged, Bound For Hell is a highly accomplished debut from Kendra Leigh and the beginning of what promises to be a fantastic new and suspenseful love story. Part two, Bound For Salvation, is due for release in June and I can’t wait! Bring. It. On.

Daniel sighs. “Well, tell him he’ll have to wait.” His shirt is wide open now. He unbuckles his belt, looking at me with a predator’s glee.
My insides tighten and I swallow hard, murmuring, “What are you doing, Daniel?”
“You.”
This is another one of those really intense romances which completely consume me. I will say that for the first 10% or so I didn’t fully connect. It felt a little too reminiscent of Fifty Shades and Daniel Stark’s name a little too close to Damien Stark and I feared that we were about to embark on a well worn and rather too familiar path but all of sudden it just seemed to click and the author really got into her stride and owned the story. Daniel and Hayley came vividly to life and I slipped comfortably into their story and just lost myself.
[image] Daniel Stark is our mercurial billionaire – he’s searing and intense, very short-tempered with his staff, an absolute perfectionist. He’s a self-made software billionaire, a workaholic and his wealth and past experiences have led him to trust no one and not to allow anyone to get close. His ‘relationships’ have mostly been a series of very expensive call girls and he has pretty much decided that he’ll never fall in love. Until, one day, Hayley barges into his life muttering expletives as she spills coffee down her shirt.
“Why me then?” I ask in a small voice.
“Because it’s you.” He smiles, his eyes narrowing tenderly as he kisses me again, more profoundly. “Because you’re simply you, and there’s no one else I want.”
Hayley –well. I really loved her. She’s a college graduate just about ready to embark on her career in fashion journalism and she’s not about to be treated like a doormat by Daniel Stark. She’s feisty and she knows her own mind but she’s about to be swept away by Daniel Stark and there’s very little she can do about it. She’s got some great friends – Tasha and Ian and they lend some wonderful humour to the novel and Ian, her gay male model friend, really does have the best lines.
“Biatches,” Ian murmurs, smiling. Turning to face me he declares, “I’ve missed you lately, gorgeous, with you being Danielized and all. Come over and give me some of you.”
I cheerfully bend to smack a kiss on his mouth. Yes, I have to agree with that. I have been completely Danielized.
Both Hayley and Daniel at the beginning are fairly closed books to us – we don’t understand the way that they behave but, as the titles imply, layers are slowly peeled back to reveal the inner core and, gradually, we get to know these two pretty well. There’s still some mystery here – definitely only half a story is told so far to all be concluded in Inner Core. I think Sigal Ehrlich did a fantastic job of really showing a couple gradually falling in love – the way they move from intense yet fairly unemotional sexual hookups to something far deeper, much more personal was beautifully done. I really felt their growing connection, how much Daniel couldn’t bear to be parted from his Hayley and how much she grew to rely on him and need him.
When I come up for air after a few extended moments I manage to finally say what was processing at the back of my mind throughout the day. “I can’t believe how much I love you.” His embrace tightens and I rest my head on his shoulder whispering, “I love you so much, Daniel.”
It’s probably fair to place this one in the adult contemporary genre rather than erotic romance – sure there are sex scenes and they are hot but they’re not pages long, not huge on details and a few of them are fade to black. This novel is all about the intensity – the power of the love this rather dysfunctional couple feel for each other. Of course, there is the ubiquitous cliffhanger – things do not end well for Hayley and Daniel but, thankfully, book 2 was released just a few days ago.
So, if you enjoy a sexy, brooding billionaire having his emotional defences torn down by the girl he didn’t know he needed or wanted then I think this one will definitely work for you. I read it in one sitting – once I connected with this couple, I found it really hard to put down and am going to embark on Book 2 straight away.

Ronin made that low rumble in the back of his throat, and it vibrated against her skin. “At some point tonight I will have my hand up your dress and you will come for me. Anything I want, any time I want was a very dangerous promise to make to me, Amery,” he whispered against her jaw, “because you have no idea what I want from you.”
Oh, boy this is hot, hot, HOT! I’ve never actually read Lorelei James before but I know her by reputation as an absolute Queen of down and dirty, kinky erotic romances – she’s more than well known for her Rough Riders and Blacktop Cowboys series so I was really thrilled to be asked to review this title, a first book in a new series.
I did think that this would be the type of series where each book features a separate couple and wasn’t expecting the cliffhanger at the end – Ronin and Amery’s story does not end here and will continue in Unwound which is due for release in March.
So we have Amery, a North Dakota native now living in Downtown Denver and agreeing to go to self-defence classes with her friend Molly who’d recently been attacked by homeless guys and there she meets Dojo Master Ronin. She gives him a whole load of sass and even throw her jeans at him and Ronin just knows he has to have her and pursues her. They embark on a highly sensual affair but Ronin has got far more strings to his bow, or should I say ropes, than Amery anticipates or is ready for and this leads us onto a highly sexually charged yet pretty angsty erotic romance.
“Trust me to worship your body the way it’s meant to be?”
“Didn’t I already say yes?”
“You did.” His teeth followed the tendons in her neck. She shuddered in his arms and she felt his smile against her skin. “But I want to blindfold you so you can focus on how you feel, not on what I’m doing.”
“What will you be doing to me?”
A kiss below her ear. “Teasing you.” A soft kiss in front of her ear. “Pushing your boundaries.” He gently blew in her ear. “Boundaries that you claimed earlier might not be boundaries at all.”
I liked Amery – she’s very ballsy, a little bit naive and is desperately trying to break free of her strict Christian upbringing and spread her wings. Meeting with Ronin and all that he has to offer will totally push her boundaries as she slowly gives up her inhibitions and allows herself to submit to him one step at a time. She appears to be entirely wholesome but Ronin soon learns that she has much darker desires that she’s willing to explore with him.
The enigmatic Ronin is a bit of a closed book – he holds things very close to his chest and doesn’t reveal much about himself. By the end of this book, he was still a bit of a mystery to me and I feel that we have a lot more to learn about him in book 2. I would say that as a dominant, he seriously needs to work on his communication skills. He’s supposed to be able to read his submissive and prepare her for what is to come but, at one point, he has Amery practically screaming for her life and running for the hills. It was kind of like – here let me blindfold you and did I mention my lovely whip and chains collection? Poor girl was terrified and I really can’t blame her!
Ronin is a Rope Master so there’s a lot of highly sensual Shibari and Kinbaku scenes in this and, I do have to say, that Lorelei James writes THE most intensely erotic and sensual D/s scenes – I really enjoyed this aspect of the book. But, Ronin’s holding out on Amery and his lack of communication could just about be the end of their relationship and we’re left with a big cliffy – but it’s not a long wait until their story concludes in Unwound, due for release at the end of March.
All in all, a very sensual, angsty BDSM romance with a delicious martial arts Master as a Dom and a naive yet feisty girl as his very apprehensive sub.

He says under his breath, “I’m going to fuck you hard, Rose.” He strokes my head and leans me to his chest. “So hard that you’re not going to be able to walk in the morning.”
Why does that sound so good?
This does claim to be a standalone novel but, personally, I think it works best when it’s considered to be book 3 in the Addicted series. It does work as a standalone but I think you get a far better connection with the rest of the characters if you’ve already read Lo and Lily’s story.
I think it’s entirely possible that I’ve become more than a little addicted to Krista & Becca’s writing style. It’s highly intoxicating and wholly compelling and, yes, addictive. What you get is incredibly beautifully crafted characters who you can really believe in and that allowed me to completely lose myself in the story. You don’t always get that real connection with the characters when reading a book. but this motley crew lived vividly in my imagination the whole time I was reading this book.
And what a challenging lot they are – Lily and Lo, both recovering addicts, Daisy, Rose’s overly-mature 17 year old super-model sister, Ryke, Lo’s dare-devil half-brother, Scott – Grade A asshole and Rose and Connor themselves – the stars of the novel. After Lily’s scandal in the previous novels both Rose’s and her family’s business have floundered in the glare of negative publicity and, wanting to make amends Lily and her 2 sisters agree to make like the Kardashians and participate in a reality show – The Princesses of Philadelphia – and share a house with Connor, Ryke, Lo and Scott and this is our story.
I can safely say that I’ve never read a show based around a reality TV show and I wasn’t sure it would work but it truly does. Despite what appears to be a very frivolous and shallow setting, we’re treated to a deep and emotional read as we watch the two main protagonists really struggle with the dynamics of their relationship.
Rose and Connor have been dating for a year but Rose is still a virgin – not something she is ashamed of and makes no secret of it. They’re both academic over-achievers, with staggering intellects and brains the size of small planets – they match one another perfectly and Rose gives Connor something that he’s never had in a woman before – she’s his intellectual equal.
They’re both incredibly alpha and dominant and Connor wants nothing more than to dominate Rose, to be graced with her submission. Rose is undeniably aroused by this but scared to finally let go and give in to her basest desires, afraid that Connor will walk away once he’s got his hands on the prize he covets so much – Rose’s virginity. I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two – Connor claims that he doesn’t believe in love as a concept and therefore couldn’t possibly ever love Rose but he still wants to spend the rest of his life with her and make a family with her. Rose for her part believe that, deep down, Connor loves her and believes that only time will help him come to terms with his feeling and the way he was raised and allow him to realise that he loves her.
I near her, cupping her face with large rough hands. I stare down into her yellow-green eyes. “You’re not a pit stop. You’re my finish line. There’s no one after you.” I kiss her powerfully, my tongue parting her lips, and she responds. But not as much as I hoped. So I break apart and add, “I want you for eternity, not for a brief moment in time.”
Rose is high-octane, obsessive, supremely confident and very intelligent – Connor’s perfect match and, yet, there is a vulnerability here that probably only he can see and I really warmed to her in a way that I never really did during the Addicted series. Connor himself also blossomed in front of me in a way that he never had before – I developed a serious crush on this dominant yet really rather lonely man and the sexual tension was off the charts and, when they finally do succumb to that sizzling attraction and Rose finally gives it up to Connor, I swear I heard the hallelujah chorus!! What a moment – #HAWT!
So this really was very different from Lo and Lily’s story which is heavy on the angst – there’s a huge amount of humour here and it’s a highly entertaining and compelling. I love the way that Rose & Connor were always trying to better one another intellectually, constantly verbally sparring even with Jane Austen quotes.
My hand lowers to the small of her back, and I leave her with one last kiss to the forehead that feels more genuine than all the others. “You’ve bewitched me, body and soul.”
She glares. “And you ruined it with a quote from Pride and Prejudice.”
I grin. “What? I thought we were purposefully being cliché.”
“Maybe next time, quote the book and not the film.”
My eyebrow arches and I recite theatrically, “You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope.” I shake my head. “Doesn’t have the same ring to it, darling.”
A laugh escapes her lips.
I lost myself in this book completely, utterly absorbed by the characters and the development of their relationships – it’s full of genuine emotion, some real shocks and turns, beautiful romance and seriously hot sex. It’s got just about everything that I love in contemporary romance and I surprised myself by really loving Rose & Connor. I do think this works best if you’ve read Lo and Lily’s story – especially where Lily is concerned. If you’ve not read her story, her staggering shyness shown here will leave you disconnected to her I think and I actually adore Lily.
So, another fantastic read from the Sisters Ritchie and I am now SO looking forward to getting some Ryke and Daisy action in the upcoming Hothouse Flowers due for release in the spring – bring it on!

Just how SINFULLY SEXY is that cover??
Well, this is my favourite kind of series. The characters recur but every book is a separate story and there are no cliffhangers and they can each be read as a standalone. The series had, in the two previous books, centred around G-Men but in Night Moves our hero, Easton is brother to Taz, hero of the previous book and not a G-Man himself. He’s a multi-millionaire CEO with very particular tastes in the bedroom and and a real big commitment-phobe.
He first meets our heroine Darcy on a beach in Belize when she is nursing her emotional wounds after finding her fiancée doing the old horizontal shuffle with another woman and the attraction is instant and incendiary but Easton knows that she’s looking for revenge and won’t allow himself to be used in that way.
He leaned, his lips brushing my ear. “Baby,” he said on a rough whisper, "I want to fuck you in the worst way possible. What I don't want is to be some revenge fuck of yours in order to get back at your cheating boyfriend who you'll most likely get back with before you land in D.C. I'm not that guy, love. When I fuck you, there'll be no doubt in your mind as to who you're with and why you're with me, understand?"
Oh, boy!!
And with that quote, you pretty much get the measure of Easton. He is tall, dark, seriously sexy, bit of a man-whore and is completely steering clear of anything that smells remotely like commitment. He’s got a few dark secrets which have shaped him into the man he is today and he just enjoys women, enjoys their bodies (and this is smokin hot) and he likes a lot of variety. He’s absolutely never going to fall in love and commit to just one woman.
“Is that what you really think? Do you truly believe that you've been fucking a dangerous sociopath?"
"No," I stated firmly. "I think I've been fucking someone who doesn't know who or what he is, much less what he wants. I think he's someone that has some baggage he hasn't dealt with which is a shame, because he's almost perfect otherwise”
Enter stage left – Darcy Nicole Sheridan, a spoiled brat to put it kindly. She hasn’t just been brought up with a silver spoon in her mouth, she’s got the whole dinner service in there and she has always been given what she wants, whenever she wants by her indulgent parents without ever having to work for it. She’s spoiled, self-centred, sarcastic and seriously stubborn and you’d think there wouldn’t be a lot to like but like her I did. And quite a lot. Despite all those glaring flaws she’s also smart, self-assured, sympathetic and, throughout the course of this book, evolves into a far more likeable human being as her parents and Easton take a stand and force her to work hard for the first time in her life.
“You're being an ass," I snapped, hoping to get his ire up, along with anything else on him that cared to rise to the occasion.
"I am an ass," he spat, "You should've figured that out a long time ago. I don't want to be an ass - not with you at any rate. You didn't deserve the things I did to you last night.”
I did really enjoy this – Andrea Smith writes great stories and Night Moves is yet another of these. There’s a lot of verbal sparring going down between Easton the British CEO and Darcy, his crude colonial and you will enjoy these two as they war against each other and, ultimatly, that incredible connection that they share. Andrea Smith’s books are always fun to read and suspenseful and then there’s always a darkness to them that you’re never quite expecting.
The abuse in this story is only very briefly touched upon – it’s not gratuitous and there’s only enough to let you know what has happened in the past but I found it INCREDIBLY uncomfortable to read. I read a lot of dark erotica without even batting an eyelid and I had to think hard about what made this so difficult for me to handle and, in the end, I think it was the nature of the abuse and the gender of the perpetrator. As a mother of sons, this was desperately hard for me to read. Please don’t let me put you off – the two scenes that bothered me were very short and necessary to the plot and I was quite shocked at the depth of my reaction to them.
“I raised my chin, defiantly. “Do it.” I challenged him.
He looked back at me, in wonder... an easy smile resting on his lips. Something flashed in his eyes as he continued studying me, and before he was aware of it, I saw a vague and saddened disappointment reflect through his eyelashes.”
So this is a sexy love story with an arrogant British hero that you are going to love despite his cocksure attitude and a smartass heroine who learns a few lessons the hard way and, ultimately, another fantastic romance from Andrea Smith

"You’re an aphrodisiac.” He murmurs in my ear, his voice husky. “I want you every minute,”
Part two of The Dangerous Man series and we pick up exactly where we left off at the end of Awakening. Super rich David Preston has married innocent little Sophie and is now whisking her off to his penthouse in Seattle and a life of luxury beyond her wildest dreams.
I got a really strong feeling when I was reading Awakening that all was not as it seemed and my fears appear to be grounded after reading Rebellion. David is being economical at best with the truth where Sophie is concerned and she's rightfully worried and a little bit afraid of what the future holds. She has no doubt that she’s in love with David but she has no idea how he feels about her. Yes, the sex is great but does it go any deeper than that for him?
Sophie is like a true innocent walking into the lion’s den with no protection – she appears to be a pawn in a far bigger game. She’s a sweetheart but incredibly naive and David is a Goliath – a man who’s power and control seemingly knows no bounds. In fact, I liked him a lot less in this one. I really wanted him to love her, to show some kind of emotion towards her but he just seems to want to possess her and I fear for her.
“I wanted you the moment I saw you standing outside that little shop in that small town, looking so lost and alone. I wanted your innocence, your beauty,” he leans over and drops a soft kiss on the sensitive corner of my lips, “I wanted your body Sophie, I wanted to see your face when I make you scream my name.” His words set a desperate fire to my blood. I lean into him, hungry for him. When it comes to this, I can’t fight him. I make one last attempt. ‘You didn’t have to marry me,” I whisper, “You already had me.” “And then I wanted no one else to ever have the pleasure. Understand that Sophie,” He says, moments before his mouth descends on mine in a scorching kiss. “You are mine.”
There’s a pretty big cliffy at the end of this one. I did enjoy it and it’s very sexy and, when David is in a good mood, I like him a lot but, as always with these erotic e-serials, I’m left wanting more, to have the plot fleshed out and to get to know the characters a little better.

Right, back to the story – we rejoin Emily straight after she has walked out on Dillon. She goes straight to Gavin but the man is AWOL. He’s decided to disappear, leaving his cell phone on the tarmac, desperate to hide away from the crushing despair he is feeling. He believes Emily has gone ahead and married Douchenugget and just wants to lose himself in a haze of alcohol and easy women. Dillon shows up in Emily’s life again before she can find Gavin and shows us, once again, why he really is the spawn of the devil. Emily eventually manages to track Gavin down and runs to him in an attempt to reconcile and the story moves forward from here.
I really loved this – Collide and Pulse together have made this one of the best series to be published this year. I enjoyed every second, completely lost myself in the story and got to know Emily, Gavin, Olivia and everyone else intimately, like they were my friends.
It’s a beautiful story of emotional growth for Emily, a story of moving on, a story of stepping out of the darkness, blinking into the light – it’s uplifting and powerful and, most of all, a story of all-consuming love and passion and an absolute determination to be together despite all the odds. Emily pulls out all the stops to throw herself at Gavin’s mercy, to beg forgiveness and to atone for what has passed and I applauded her for it.
Oh to be loved like a man like Gavin. I really do adore him! He’s still a Yankees-obsessed, bottle cap-giving wiseass but he’s so unbelievably charming and pantie- meltingly gorgeous. He’s all pure, primal, fierce and sexy alpha male and yet also incredibly tender, sensitive and caring. He wants nothing more than to soothe away all the hurt and make things right between him and Emily.
He cupped her cheeks, drawing her face closer to his. “I’m not sure you’ll ever understand, but I told you I need you more than I need my next breath. Since the day we met, from the second I laid eyes on you, there’s never been anyone else worth taking up a fucking inch of space in my mind.” He stroked his thumbs along her lips, laying his own against her forehead. “God created me to love you. Let me heal the cracks in your heart. I know this broken woman didn’t exist before Dillon. I refuse to believe that.”
He’ll do just about anything for her and wants nothing more than a beautiful future with her believing firmly that what has gone before has only strengthened the bond that they now share.
You told me once you thought you’d broken us. You didn’t break us, doll. You fixed us. Those bad minutes shaped us into what we are. They molded us into what we’re going to be together. We were written for one another, and I wouldn’t change one line in our romance novel. The good, the bad, the in between. It’s ours. We own it.
Le Sigh!! I just melted for how much Gavin single-mindedly adored Emily and knew that she was the one for him and would move just about heaven and earth to make things right between them. He’s so romantic, charismatic, charming.
I loved this – couldn’t put it down. It’s emotional and tense and there’s always a nagging feeling that it could all just go horribly wrong at any second and I so wanted them to find that Happy Ever After that’s never seemed quite attainable for these two. For both of them, despite the pain and sorrow of the past, they were just so ready to find love with one another and it’s now perfect timing after all those missed first encounters and chances.
Olivia is back, as colourful as ever with an incredible vocabulary of insulting names at the ready for Dillon – nothing he doesn’t deserve. My personal favourite were Dillmonster, Duckleberry Finn, Dick-wad and Dumbledick!
This was another beautifully written, sumptuous erotic romance. We are back with Dominic and Katherine after the events of the final chapters of KnighThis was another beautifully written, sumptuous erotic romance. We are back with Dominic and Katherine after the events of the final chapters of Knight’s Mistress. They have gone their separate ways but they are both completely lost without one another. Dominic is still trying to control and orchestrate her life from afar, hiding behind his vast wealth and influence but he’s a lost man without Katherine. He can’t sleep, can’t eat, has no interest in other women – booze is suddenly his best friend. His friends and colleagues are more than worried about him.
Katherine finds herself in a similar state – she desperately misses Dominic. He’s awoken something in her that cannot be put back to rest and she craves to rekindle the turbo-charged intensity of their relationship. He’s her drug of choice and she is in severe withdrawal, suffering a deep, raw sense of deprivation at his absence.
Circumstances and fear for her safety on Dominic’s part, will throw them together once again in the far east and it’s really not long before those frenzied carnal cravings overtake them once more and they fall back into that tempestuous passion that consumed them before.
I loved this – it was just so sexy and Dominic and Katherine are really great characters with plenty of depth. Dominic is dominant, shameless, heartless, jaw-droppingly beautiful, charismatic and phenomenally sexually talented. He’s very much in control and totally competent at just about everything he does, never more so than in the bedroom as we’re treated to scene after scene of delicious and edgy passion. Katherine is feisty, argumentative and never backwards in coming forward with her opinion and, despite trying hard not to, Dominic constantly pisses her off and she’s often on the verge of walking away from him again.
Dominic is rapidly becoming blind to reason where she’s concerned – he’s obsessed, infatuated and is now wondering if the time may have come to retract his cardinal rule against emotional entanglement. He’s always moved through women at warp-speed, his dealings with them casual and cursory and he’s not prepared for how he feels about Katherine.
BUT – bigger things are afoot here as danger lurks close by and events take a dramatic turn that will threaten the fragile happiness that they have begun to find together with a thrilling and pulsating storyline that has a few shocks in store. This ends wonderfully but there is more to come and this is fast-paced, erotic, funny, enthralling and a real page-turner – just about everything you could want in an erotic romance

That man. He’s not some boyfriend in a line of them. He is my alpha and omega. He is the sky over me. Without him, I’m lost. There’s no one else, no one whose soul balances mine the way his does. I waited my life for him, and when he came I didn’t recognize him. Not until very recently. If I lose him I swear, as God is my witness, I will be alone. No man can match him.
Oh my GOD!! This one pretty much ripped my heart out and I ugly cried through large parts of it. It’s a real sobfest and there’s a sadness and a wistfulness that comes through loud and clear as the story is told that you will feel deep in your soul.
After investing in Jonathan and Monica pretty much all year long, we finally reach the conclusion of their tumultuous journey in a dramatic, tense and deeply emotional finale. We left Jonathan in dire straits at the end of Resist and, let me tell you, things really don’t get any better for him any time soon in Sing. Everything hangs in the balance, the future is very uncertain and the light at the end of the tunnel has narrowed to a near pinprick and is blinking out…………….very, very slowly.
As I read this, I felt as though there was a massive countdown on the wall next to me – counting down to impending and seemingly inescapable doom. It’s incredibly tense as everything hangs in the balance and I read at a ferocious speed as I just needed to know…………needed to know what on earth was going to happen to these two, whether or not the ending would be happy or tragic. I truly did not know which way CD Reiss was going to take this one. She’s ripped the rug out from under us before – I definitely wouldn’t put it past her to do it again. I read with fear, trepidation and absolute desperation.
There’s a huge dark cloud hanging over Monica and Jonathan as this story begins and it only gets darker. Their situation is Desperate with a big ole capital D. What happened to Jonathan at the end of Resist is explained but it’s far worse than I could have imagined and just seems to get worse as the story progresses and this dramatic conclusion will get your heart beating faster as you wonder just how on earth it will finally all end.
Looking back over this series, I have so come to love Jonathan – that fucked-up, beautiful, sexy dominant billionaire. We’ve come on quite a journey with him as his character and back-story has slowly been revealed by CD Reiss over all seven instalments until now he’s an open book to us – we finally get to understand everything that has happened and how this has molded the man who stands before us today. To truly know Jonathan is to love him.
“Goddess,” he said, his breath on my mouth. “Have me, please. I was wrong. You’re not the sea under my sky. You are the sun I revolve around, the stars that mark me, the moon rising through me. I’m lost without you. And if you won’t have me, I’ll break, I swear to God. I know it’s selfish, and I’m sorry. Let me serve you. Have me as yours. Let me live under you.”
Monica is the omega to his alpha, the final piece in the puzzle that is his life, the one person who will finally allow Jonathan to be just Jonathan. She’s also come a long way since we first met her in Beg and never has she seemed more vulnerable and lost to me than she does in Sing. Nothing matters to her any more other than Jonathan and what is happening to him and she will consider THE most desperate courses of action to secure his future. I think I read in absolute shock at one of her decisions.
This has just been a fantastic series, very dark and twisted, very sexy, deeply emotional and an incredibly taut, tense and angsty read – just the way I like ‘em. There’s a latent sadist within me somewhere that is never happier than when my book characters are suffering and suffer they surely do. It has everything – kinky D/s sex, romance, great character development, shocks, surprises, despair, tragedy, humour and even happy sappy goofy grin moments. It’s beautifully written, in fact, it’s sublime. Thinking Gal’s Erotica.
Look out for Songs of Corruption to début in early 2014, Theresa Drazen’s story, who's been trained to be distant and proper her whole life until she feels the heat of racketeer, embezzler, money launderer, mobster and fighter, Antonio Spinelli. Can’t wait for that one!
This series really is a bit like literary heroin for me – I’m not sure it’s entirely good for me, I worry for these characters constantly as CD Reiss This series really is a bit like literary heroin for me – I’m not sure it’s entirely good for me, I worry for these characters constantly as CD Reiss piles on the agony, but I am like an addict looking for her next fix. I HAVE to know what’s coming next and, oh boy, do we get left with a mother of a cliffhanger at the end of this one. I need Book 7 STAT and it hasn’t event got a name yet. Sure hope you’re writing real fast Ms Reiss!!
He shifted closer to me and spoke in a whisper. “I’m taking you home, and I’m going to tie your wrists to the banister. I’m going to blindfold you, then I’m going to undress you slowly. I’m putting my lips all over you until you beg me to take you, which I may or may not do.”
“Jonthan,” I whispered, his name a white flag of surrender.
We pick up in the aftermath of the events of the last few pages of Burn – nothing is ever going to be easy for these two. Little seeds of doubt are laying down thick roots in Monica’s brain as she wonders whether Jonathan is telling her the whole truth. How much of Jessica’s story is real and how much has she been deceived? There’s a lot of baring of souls in this one as we finally get to hear what happened to Rachel and understand the guilt that Jonathan carries around and finally, fully understand him, just the way he is and Monica will go to extreme lengths to protect the man she loves whole-heartedly.
My name is Monica. I stand six feet tall in heels. I am descended from one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century. I can sing like an angel, and growl like a lion. I am music. I am a goddess
I feel like, at long last, we finally got to know Jonathan 100% and see far beyond the sadist dominant exterior to the man beneath – the man who will show great nobility in his attempt to protect Monica from his perceived darker side and will break her heart in the process. Monica proves that she has cojones of steel and will do just about anything to protect her man. These two deserve their happiness but there are so many obstacles to overcome and then SOMETHING VERY BAD happens right at the end to leave you panting and salivating for book 7!
My name is Monica. I sing like an angel and roar like a lion. I am the owner and ruler of my mind. I keep my own counsel. I decide how I feel. I answer to no one.
It’s still as sexy as hell as the all out sadist in Jonathan is once again unleashed and Monica thrives under his dominion over her – there’s some real HAWT and sexy scenes, as we’ve really come to expect from CD Reiss.

The action picks up exactly where we left off after the dramatic cliffhanger in Lockout and Sophia in a serious predicament and the pace of the story never falters from this moment on. We have just about everything here - beautiful romance, incredibly erotic sex scenes, danger, action, despair, hope and happiness. Just about everything you could hope for in an erotic trilogy.
We've come full circle from the moment when Sebastian and Sophia first met in Locked - the story has moved on and grown massively from that point and it's on a much bigger scale than I could ever have anticipated. We finally find out about The Alpha Group and Sebastian's role in it and it's not something I had expected, that's for sure!
Sebastian and Sophia together in this one were such a joy to read. There's a real despair that they may not have much time together, danger is threatening them from seemingly every direction and, at times, they don't know who to trust and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. I could really tell how much they loved one another, how much one feared for the other and how much they worried that their time remaining was severely limited. There's a real desperation here - an overwhelming love and desire that consumes them and, yet, at times, there seemed to be no future for them.
You always hear stories about the purity of love, about the way it swells inside you until nothing else even matters. I never cared much for that perspective before -- that kind of love typically isn't compatible with the sort of future I saw for myself -- but now I found myself longing for it to be that simple. Every decision had turned into a conflict, a titanic battle between heart and brain, between logic and emotion. I couldn't deny my feelings for him, but whenever they rose inside me, they brought with them anger and betrayal. I knew it wasn't intentional, but he'd exposed me to this world, a world that was currently trying to chew me up and spit me out again.
We finally got to know Sebastian well and in intimate detail in this one and I really fell under his spell. His reactions and feelings at the danger to Sophia will even surprise him and definitely made me love him more. Sophia also really comes into her own, having to draw on strengths even she didn't know she had as the two of them will have to use that incredible connection they share to communicate at the most dire of moments.
I put a hand on his knee. "We're in this together, Sebastian. Whatever happens."
He stared at me for a full ten seconds, somehow managing to look touched yet incredibly anxious. Eventually though, he broke into a sad little smile. "Together it is then," he said softly, reaching out to squeeze my hand. And somehow it felt like an incredibly tender moment instead of an insane suicide pact.
Despite all of the drama and suspense going on, there's still plenty of time for some seriously HAWT sex scenes. Sebastian is still a dominant man and they share several scenes that are pantie-combustingly hot and, as this is the longest of the trilogy, it's definitely going to disappoint you in that department. There's also a fantastic epilogue - I always need a good epilogue after the story is done to let me know how they're getting on and that's exactly what I got here. Great closure.
Finally he pulled away, only to bury his head against my neck. "Say it again," he whispered, teasing me with a slow rocking motion.
"I love you," I breathed.
"And I love you," he replied.
So, in conclusion a fitting and incredibly dramatic conclusion to the Alpha Group Trilogy that has just about everything to keep you turning the pages at warp speed - sex, romance, danger, twists and turns, highly unexpected revelations and, above all, a beautiful love story. It's been a pleasure to read and review this trilogy and I can't wait to see what Maya does next!

It’s very much an erotic tale as we have a lot more of Savannah and Kayden becoming closer and a whole lot more of their sizzling sex life.
It’s also a tale of two ex’s as Logan makes a re-appearance in Savannah’s life and Kayden is still not revealing much about the ex who broke his heart and made him so wary. It’s fast-paced and bounces along at an incredible speed and is a fun sexy romp.
It’s light and easy to read, nothing too challenging and ends on a mother of a cliffhanger!

I really enjoyed this one. I think it’s safe to say that this book follows a now well worn path. Young, handsome yet more than just a little fucked up billionaire spots and chooses a seemingly regular girl next door type and falls instantly in love and has to have her and claim her. Of course, with all these books, once you get to know the characters, the comparisons fall away and you lose yourself in their story and that definitely happened for me in Steel & Lace as I started to fall under Carter Morgan’s delicious spell.
"Look at me, Carter." I forced him to lift his head and look me in the eye. "You consume me. I've got it so deep I can barely even breathe. When we're together you take my breath away and when we're apart I'm lost. I won't run again, I promise. What can I say to make you believe me?"
This is the story of Carter, handsome young billionaire CEO and Eva, a fashion editor. Their eyes meet across a crowded room and they share an instant and very intense connection. Carter makes it his mission to find out more about her and pursues her relentlessly, not prepared to take no for an answer.
I have to say that the eroticism is very well done in this one. It’s beautifully paced and it will have liquid fire curling in your belly. It’s seriously HAWT!! As a piece of erotic romance, this is a mighty fine example. This was originally released as a series of novellas but I read it as a complete novel and there’s no indication in that one where each novella would have begun and ended. I think this is very apparent right at the beginning as Carter and Eva become intimate before they’ve really got to know one another and, more importantly, before we, as readers, have got to know them yet. I felt a bit non-plussed by this but I can understand the need to do it when the first part was released as a novella. To captivate the audience and make the readers want to continue onto part two, the story needed to move on quickly in a way that’s really not necessary in a full-length novel. Personally, I’d have enjoyed a slower build up to increase the anticipation.
BUT – it sounds like I’m being overly critical when I actually really enjoyed this. Once I’d got to know Carter & Eva I became completely engrossed in their story and it really is an emotional and angsty ride as they choose to make things just about as difficult for themselves as they possibly can. Sadistically, I enjoy this – I love the main characters in a novel to truly suffer before they arrive at that elusive HEA and suffer they surely do. I will say that things escalate at almost the speed of light inn this one – again, I attribute this to the initial release as a series of novellas.
So, I very much enjoyed this and it;s worth pushing through those first, really rather challenging chapters to find the wonderful yet tortuous love story that lies in the pages beyond. I do that think that Adriane Leigh is a very talented writer and I feel that she grew from strength to strength as the novel progressed and, for the future, I would very much like to see her put that talent into writing a full length novel.

We rejoin Damien and Nikki just as their agreement is drawing to a close. Blaine is just adding the finishing touches to the painting and, by midnight, Nikki will be a million dollars richer and released from Damien’s contract. Of course, neither of them really wants to be released, they’re so completely absorbed in one another, they have an almost telepathic connection and we’re about to embark on an emotionally exhausting journey with them.
Nikki is still tortured by the demons of her past, the need for pain never really goes away and the attentions of the paparazzi will push her to the limits of her ability to cope. Damien is acutely aware of this and reads her so well – he understands when the need consumes her and it hurts him and he feels guilty for her finding herself in situation that bring on that desire to hurt herself. Nikki’s angst was really quite palpable as was Damien’s almost constant concern.
Damien also has demons in his past that are about to roar back into his life in a way that we could not possibly have forseen. He’s still a closed book, holding too much back and not really sharing with Nikki despite her encouragement. He does eventually share with her but it takes nearly the whole book
Their love for one another verges on obsession and, despite their game coming to an end, Damien continues to dominate Nikki. I just totally adore Damien. He’s a wonderfully attentive powerhouse of a lover, a controlling, domineering uber-alpha hero and drop-dead gorgeous. He cares so much for Nikki and is THE most attentive lover with scene after scene of delicious and kinky sex - it’s so incredibly hot, I’m surprised my Kindle didn’t catch fire, and, of course, it’s deeply, deeply emotional. The sex is just super-volcanic and scorching hot.
Nikki and Damien take us on such an emotional roller-coaster in this one as we go from deliriously happy right to the depths of despair and there is a tantalising cliffhanger and their future is left very uncertain in this one as we prepare for the momentous events of the next book. I’m willing for them to find that Happy Ever After that they truly deserve.
I will say that this is four not five stars because it started to drag just a little during the middle part of the book. A big percentage of this book is just Nikki and Damien and it takes almost the whole novel for the whole plot to move on from where it begins – of course, when it does move on, it moves on in such spectacular fashion it will leave your heart pounding and take your breath away.
I’m very much looking forward to Complete Me and I really hope that J Kenner can find a little happiness for Jamie – my heart is breaking for her. She needs a man like Damien.

It’s sensual and evocative, full of raw passion, heart melting tenderness and heart stopping emotion. It’s a beautiful story that shows just how love really does conquer all.
We’re back with Nikki and Damien in Germany as he prepares to stand trial for murder. There’s an air of desperation as they try to hide away in a private little bubble knowing, all the while, that reality is out there, waiting for the chance to rip them apart, possibly forever. They indulge themselves in really hot sex as they try to block out what lies ahead and forget the disaster that is looming large on the horizon.
“Fuck reality,” he whispers when he releases me. “I want to stay in our bubble as long as we can.”
I did really enjoy this one and definitely felt that I got the closure I needed after embarking on this series and investing in Nikki and Damien. Right from the beginning we’ve been aware of their awful childhoods, Nikki’s propensity to self-harm, Damien’s history of abuse and the barriers and obstacles that all these place between them and finding that elusive Happy Ever After. That’s not to mention the ever-growing threat to Nikki’s safety which will frighten the seemingly unflappable Damien Stark
Looking at all three books as a whole trilogy, I would probably put this right up there near the top of the list of erotic romances. Damien is an intense, dominant and very caring hero who very much commands your attention every time he appears on a page. It’s no wonder that he has a legion of female fans out there melting into puddles at his feet. He’s very sexy and there’s a whole lot of steamy action right through the entire trilogy which is BDSM-lite – really nothing more hardcore than a little bondage and a little light spanking. It’s really just kinky sex – very, very hot kinky sex. Damien’s life has been radically changed by Nikki – he’s still that self-assured billionaire we met right back at the beginning of Release Me but now his whole focus in life is her. Nothing is more important to him and he will do anything to keep her safe and to keep them together.
You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me. Every time I touch you, every time I bury myself deep inside you—Nikki, don’t you see? You are the talisman of my life, and if I lose my grip on you, then I have lost myself
I enjoyed getting inside Nikki’s head and I thought J. Kenner did a great job of sympathetically handling the issue of self-harm and letting us understand the thought processes that see Nikki on the verge of holding something sharp against her skin, desperate to feel that pinch of pain as a way of blocking out the emotional distress that threatens to overwhelm her. Nikki grew from strength to strength as the series progressed as she drew on the love that Damien gave her and it empowered her and, in the final book, we find her moving on with life professionally and growing in confidence.
There’s a great host of secondary characters, none of them very happy, and I sure hope that the author has something planned for Jamie – that girl is holding out for a hero and she needs one pretty darned soon. If I have any criticisms it would be that the second book dragged a little for me and seemed low on plot right until the very end and I did actually find the murder trial rather anti-climactic. I do understand why it was done as it sets in motion events that will have far reaching effects on the rest of the book BUT, if you love erotic romance and I really do love erotic romance, this one will definitely work for you especially if you love a tortured and dominant billionaire and, if you’ve not tried this series yet, now is the time to buy all three and read them one after another. I truly believe that you would get the most out of them reading them that way.
There’s an incredibly romantic ending that will have fans of this series sighing with satisfaction and I think I can guarantee you closure at the end of this one.

It took me a while to get into this one but when I did it was worth it. It’s got a different feel to a lot of the erotic trilogies out there – these two sparred verbally, back and forth, for at least the first third of the book, intellectually challenging one another. They’re incredibly verbose as they launch their acerbic wit at one another like ballistic missiles. For a while, I felt like I was on the outside looking in, not entirely immersed in their story but, eventually, as Kate finally succumbed to the intense burning desire she has for Dominic I became drawn in and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We don’t suddenly go straight into strong D/s. It all starts off as vanilla, really rather intense vanilla, but vanilla all the same but Knight is absolutely a dominant and his control comes to the fore pretty quickly and it’s not long before he’s controlling their sex life and it’s pretty intensely erotic. Definitely gets the juices flowing that’s for sure!! They are overwhelmed by their passion for one another, their mutual attractions is positively incendiary, they are both highly-sexed and just cannot keep their hands off one another.
Despite the whole jet-set billionaire storyline, the development of the relationship felt very believable. The constant verbal sparring which, at first, distanced me from the story worked well in helping me to get to know the characters and I sunk deeper and deeper into their growing relationship until I was drowning in it and just didn’t want to come up for air.
Kate is a totally beguiling heroine – she’s open, engaging, unfailingly honest. There’s a lot to admire in her and she’s not about to roll over like a doormat and totally submit to Dominic. She never makes things easy for him and he’s completely off his game when she’s around. She’s very distracting to him and suddenly, everything he’s worked so hard for, is starting to seem less important much to the distaste of those closest to him.
Knight is not your typical fictional brooding billionaire. He’s open, garrulous, tender and caring. He wants to dominate Kate right from the start but he knows that he needs to bide his time, tread on eggshells and slowly woo her until she’s a hot wet mess for him and can no longer resisit.
He did a few things that I didn’t like including taking control of Kate’s birth control pills and threatening not to give her them back.
As I slowly approached the ending, I watched my Kindle Paperwhite count down the reading time remaining in the bottom left hand corner with growing sadness. I really wanted to carry on with them as I knew the ending would leave me twitching with dissatisfaction as this is a trilogy an the story will continue. When I did finally get to the end,it was not without a minor hissy fit as I am now desperate to know what will happen next.
Part 2, Knight’s Retreat, is not due for release until June 2013 and I need it – PDQ! CC Gibbs – I have absolutely no idea who you are but you’ve caught me in your spell with the beautiful, elegant writing style and enthralling characters and compelling storyline. This doesn’t feel like a debut – this feels like the work of an established author. I feel a little lost and bereft now that I have finished part 1.

I’m going to fuck you like you’ve never been fucked before, pet. I’m going to leave you unable to think and vulnerable, and open to accept my will. I’m going to ravage you and make it impossible for any other man to satisfy you the way I will. I’m going to make you feel things that no other man has and you’ll want no other after I’m done with you. I know you think I’m being arrogant, and perhaps I am, but I fully intend to keep my word without a care for how challenging that statement may be and no matter how long it will take. This will be no small undertaking because of the walls you’ve built up, but I promise you, Lilly, before the night is through: I. Will. Ruin. You.
Oh boy!!
This is another sexy as hell BDSM romance from Ella Dominguez laced with her trademark humour and snark!
Our central couple are Tucker McGrath, real estate mogul, dominant playboy and a man very much used to getting what he wants and Lilliana Norris, a dental hygienist, new to town and the recipient of a large property with acres of land willed to her by her late Aunt Margo. A property that Tucker McGrath very much wants to get his greedy hands on. Lilly also has a cheating low life of an ex husband, Adam, who still wants to claim her and isn't over keen on taking no for an answer either.
I have to say that on first impressions Tucker is really not very likeable. He’s a bit of an arrogant arse to be fair and attempts to bulldoze and confuse Lilly to get what he wants – namely her inheritance. But, as always, Ella Dominguez manages to pull some author hocus pocus on me and I found myself loving him after all. Yes, he’s arrogant for sure, but he’s funny with it and he’s sexy as hell when he turns on the dominance. Lilly brings out the cheeky, fun and playful side in him and it’s charming to see his love for her develop over the course of the novel and his softer side emerge. A softer side he probably didn’t even know he had.
Lilly might have the makings of a good submissive but she’s feisty as hell and isn’t about to roll over doormat style for Tucker. She makes things extremely difficult for him and he will have to try harder to win her submission than he’s ever had to before. She’s a feisty little hellcat, a hellacious little vixen and and also really rather skittish when it comes to trusting men – Tucker’s going to have to employ every weapon in his sensual arsenal to win her submission and her trust.
This was a fun and sexy read. When you read Ella Dominguez you know you’re going to get a lot of hilarious one liners and snark and I laughed out loud at some of the comments such as vaginal leprosy and referring to a flogging as pussy-numbing, fuckilepsy inducing, reproductive organ-exploding - powerful. Also, the sex scenes are powerfully sensual and the D/s is done really well and it’s a real turn on. Tucker is a dominant but not a sadist so there’s nothing too hardcore going on here – just sinfully sexy, seriously delicious D/s play in Tucker’s ‘Time-Out’ Room!
There’s also a great romance going on here as both Tucker and Lilly have to put the hurts of the past behind them and learn to love and trust again and it’s difficult journey for both of them with plenty of misunderstandings and screaming fights along the way. Never a dull moment! I loved the epilogue – very romantic but it also made me laugh.
Highly recommended and an excellent place to start if you’ve never read Ella Dominguez before!
Mr Cavendish has got it bad. No doubt about it. He is head over heels in love with Bianca, completely besotted, and it is a feeling completely alien t Mr Cavendish has got it bad. No doubt about it. He is head over heels in love with Bianca, completely besotted, and it is a feeling completely alien to him. He’s never felt this way about anyone before and his possessive and protective instincts towards her are on turbo-charge and in overdrive. He can’t imagine his life without her, is terrified that something may happen to her and can scarcely function when she is is not breathing the same air as him. He’s lived his life as a total man-whore – sexual desire just another bodily function to be sated like hunger and and thirst. His many partners were just there to serve his needs, he never made an emotional connection to any of them. He’s completely blown away by his feelings for Bianca, his absolute desire to dominate her consumes him and his fear that her father may harm her causes him to hire a team of security for her.
Bianca’s heart is still sealed inside a block of ice. Her traumatic childhood has made it difficult for her to trust and she, too, is overwhelmed by her feelings for James. She’s also falling further and further in love but she’s guarded and is holding back and James understands this and gives her the time she needs and her heart slowly starts to thaw. He can’t tell her he loves her because it means so much to him and rejection would just about break him. The scene when they finally do admit their feelings to one another is quite simply beautiful. Bianca is still having nightmares and the patient tenderness James shows her as he calms her down is stunning. Mr Beautiful can be so gentle, caring and loving when he needs to be. Le sigh!
Mr Cavendish, sadistic dom extraordinaire, is also back in all his glory and, as much as he loves Bianca, he still desires to punish her for every slightest perceived misdemeanour's and they really do share some very delicious scenes on The Fourth Floor! Bianca is just a hot mess for him, always ready to melt into a submissive puddle at his feet and, let’s face it, who can blame her? He knows her limits and he always pushes her to them but he reads her well and she never once has to safeword out of any of their scenes.
But, this is about more than just the beautiful love story between the central characters. This is also a story about the deep and lasting bond between best friends Stephan and Bianca. Theirs is an incredibly special relationship and, until now, has always excluded everyone else but now they both need to make room in their hearts for someone else as Stephan becomes closer to Javier and Bianca and James move closer to committing to one another. Stephan has saved Bianca before during their awful childhood and he would still die for her.
So, this is deeply romantic as Bianca and James overcome many hurdles and obstacles in this one all the while moving steadily closer to the devastating and dramatic conclusion that will have your heart pounding and take your breath away. It’s a real shocker!
There are peripheral characters too that I hope will have their stories told as they positively intrigue me – Lana and Akira, Tristan and Danika.
If you’ve loved In Flight and Mile High and are fully invested in James and Bianca finding their Happy Ever After, then you are going to absolutely adore this as you smile, laugh, despair and enjoy every second of their story. The Mr Chapter titles are back and here’s a few to whet your appetite – Mr Scandalous, Mr Uncivilized, Mr Manipulative and Mr Porn Star to mention just a few.
James & Bianca - it's been such a wild ride, I've enjoyed every second and I sure am going to miss you.

“It was for me, too,” he finally said. Her bewilderment deepened. “The best day ever.”
Ah, Ian. Is that genuine emotion spilling forth unbidden there? I do believe it is!
After their intense session in Ian's punishment room, Ian abruptly announces he has to go away. He's withdrawn from their intimacy and is once again cold and aloof. Francesca reacts with anger - he blows so hot and cold with her she never knows where she stands. Her feelings for Ian are deepening by the day but she remembers his initial promise to her - I offer you pleasure and the experience. Nothing else. I have nothing else to offer.
After a week of ignoring one another, Ian returns with a thoughtful gift and they share a perfect day together. Ian is becoming more aware of his feelings for Francesca but is in complete denial of them, refusing to say them out loud.
Only one more novella to go and I can't believe this story can be wrapped up so quickly - they seem to have so far to go. Francesca is falling ever deeper in love with Ian. Ian is attempting to and failing to mask his feelings. Can they ever find a happy ever after?
