First things first, this is like a deleted scene for the movie or extended ending. I don’t recommend reading this until you’ve read book 1, Stone Guardian.
The cover is okay, but I wish it would have shown both of them together, but the traditional gargoyle in the background is a nice touch.
This scene since it really isn’t a book about her dad bringing reality into their relationship, and Terak like any Alpha male has to show his dominance and control to ease his own fears after the dreaded dinner with dad. This is very steamy and should only be read by adults, and it is definitely making me think I could use my own gargoyle :) This is less than 30 pages, so it is a quick read.
Danielle’s writing style is awesome, but this is just a tease. I’m glad it was a freebie since it isn’t a book. I like that she is toying with the idea to add this to book 1 because that is a great idea :) I really can’t wait for book 2 :)
This is a great add-on to book 1, and I highly recommend anyone who has read Stone Guardian to read this as well especially since it is FREE. I’m really looking forward to book 2 when it comes out :)

The cover is beautiful, but Terry’s covers are always awesome :) I’ll take one Highlander please :)
I got this quite a while ago, but I hadn’t had a chance to listen to it until I was stuck on a mower for 6 plus hours doing two overgrown fields on my property. I am not one for historical romances, and I usually avoid them. I should definitely know better when it comes to Terry Spear because she always makes it exciting, fun, and sexy. This is the 4th book in this series, but the only one in this series that I have read (well listened to but same thing)! This is for adults only due to the steamy content.
Edana is a loyal and feisty woman which I love because I want to love my main characters :) Angus is the typical alpha male trying to be in control, but he folds like a table with Edana, and I love it!! There is tons of action, twists and turns, and treachery to keep you entranced whether you are reading or listening.
The narrator was fantastic, and I especially loved that she spoke with the Scottish accent!!
I highly recommend Terry Spear as an amazing author no matter what genre she writes because I haven’t found anything she’s written that I didn’t totally enjoy. I especially recommend trying this book even if you usually run away from historical books like I usually do. Now I’m sad because I have run out of Terry audiobooks, I really need to put audiobooks in my budget!! ...more

This is a short story and a very quick read around 20ish pages. It is for adults only since it has some rather smoldering steamy scenes. It is like a cross between the movies the Prince & Me and The Bodyguard, and it was a great read :) Amelia is a wonderful lead who is a kick butt heroine, and she reminds me of Xena Warrior Princess with her resourcefulness. The Prince….well he knows what he wants, and he quite charming and unique in his perspectives. A great fun read if you want something quick!! I’m hoping there is more because I can totally see a novella or book with the characters and their adventures :)
I recommend this to anyone who likes a modern fairy tale with a HFN ending that is a short story :) HFN mean Happy For Now :) ...more

The cover is okay and steamy, but nothing that grabs my attention. I think I like the cover on the UK site better with the flames, but that’s just me :)
Okay when I first started this book, I was lost and afraid this book was going to be one I didn’t much like. I was wrong, and this happens to me sometimes with new worlds and authors I’m not used to…heck sometimes with authors I love. I think I just love when there is a tons of stuff happening or going on, and you can’t always have that when you are building a new world or there will be disconnects.
Jacquelyn creates a unique world that I have not read before, and I liked it :) I picked this book because my mom and grandma love her work, and I knew it was a new series so I wouldn’t start behind the 8 ball so to speak :) She adds in flairs with her speaking in the dialects of the world she is creating though it does take a bit to get used to it. I was hooked about 30 percent into the book. I think a lot of people will stop reading a book because it doesn’t grab them from the start, and I think this is a mistake especially in a brand new series :) I think the last 20 percent was the best, and I didn’t want to put it down.
If you want a perfect world where there isn’t any issues, probably not the story for you. The heroine and city is like an animal that has been abused for a long time while some would give up, love, kindness, and direction sees them getting stronger and stronger. She had to be cultivated throughout the story into the woman she becomes, and her I liked a lot :) Dethan is rough warrior with a long past, but he is definitely not cruel and made this story what it was. I totally enjoyed the journey, and I think this story will get better especially if the characters that have been built in this story are still part of the next book :)
I recommend this story to readers who like mythological type stories with a historical feel. This was an unusual read for me, but I definitely want to read the next book to see if the world grows and the connection with the world and its characters grow as well. ...more

The cover is steamy and definitely draws the eye.
Okay, I think there are two aspects to look at for this review: the book and the audio.
I have been in a classroom where an audiobook was being played, but this is the first time I listened to a whole audiobook. For me, I liked that I could hear my book while I drove to and from work, so I was multi-tasking which is a great thing for me. I don’t know if I love the person reading the book though. I think I am going to have to listen to a few more audiobooks before I figure out what I really think because one isn’t enough to figure it out. I also have to start sticking to YA appropriate audiobooks in the car because my 13 year old son will also be in the car starting tomorrow. Please remember with audiobooks that you need to think about who else can hear your book before you start listening to it.
As usual, Terry Spear has another action packed story. Her descriptions are always awesome, so you can imagine everything happening as you go through the story. This story was so much better than I’d imagined which was idiotic of me because I should have known with Terry’s name on it that it would be awesome. But I was leery because it wasn’t one of my shifter books, they are my favorite. :)
Deidre is a fantastic character. I love how she handles herself and everything life throws her way including her visions. I really liked Dave as a character. Deidre’s brother and Dave’s co-workers added plenty of humor in the midst of all the action.
I will always reador listen to books by Terry Spear but especially her shifter books because they are favorites. I do have some of her YA audiobooks and will start listening to one tomorrow :) ...more

The cover is sooo sexy and what attracted me to requesting it…the word Alpha helped too!! Love me some Alphas whether a shifter or not.
I don’t usually read military fiction because I like my fantasy world, but this one made me miss all my Air Force buddies big time. I think this is why I loved this book because she was actually authentic with the acronyms and how we would say things. I loved that their were TACPs which most people have never heard of when I’m asked about the Air Force and people I’ve worked with. I’ve loved a quite few as though they were my family….my time in Korea rocked!!! Ok sorry, distracted by my memories :)
Josh sounds sexy, and I totally connected because I’ve known guys just like him. I loved Grace and her strength. She is actually much braver than me, and I loved that she supported the people in the war. There are quite a few steamy scenes, incase this is not your thing.
Emmy Curtis is a fabulous writer, and I’m going to have to read the rest of this series especially if there are more Air Force men in it. Her descriptions are fabulous and made me think of my practice deployments in Korea when the TACP boys (Camp Casey & Camp Red Cloud) were calling for air support.
I highly recommend this book to those into military fiction especially if you love airmen!! ...more

The cover is awesome and as someone who loves shifters, it totally attracts me to pick it up and read it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. While I was reading this book, I thought to myself this is like the shifter version of the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. Lynsay is one of my favorite authors, and I think the Le Beau Brothers series is going to be a favorite too! I like reading series on a lovable family where you become invested in everyone in the family and want to read their story.
I would have loved more action and excitement, but I'm a junkie and there is really plenty to the story. There were a few scenes that I thought were rushed where reactions could have been developed more or something. I'm not a writer, so I just give you my thoughts. This is a new series, so part of this could be that first book awkwardness.
Anna is awesome, and I can totally relate to her and some of her thought processes. Cade is sexy and sweet. I'm totally jealous of what Cade and Anna have :) The author does a great job of writing the story, so you can visualize what is going on and her style is great and makes it easy to get pulled into the story.
I think if you love shifters that you will definitely want to read this series. I think it is only going to get better, and the only thing I don't like is having to wait for the next book. I want it now :)...more

This is the 2nd story in the Fated Mates Box Set that I just bought. This story had me confused in the beginning, and while the confusion cleared up, I just didn’t connect with any of the characters. I’m thinking it is because this is the first book in the series, but not sure it could be my head cold and headache. Hannah is sort of naive as a character in my opinion because she never asks questions and knows nothing about her community that is full of shifters. Caleb protects her, but you do not know much about him.
I think if you like shifter books that you will enjoy reading this story. I am definitely going to continue reading more by this author. ...more

I have read most of the Heart of the Wolf series by Terry and loved them all. I have the ones I haven’t read yet sitting on my coffee table as well as the Jaguar shifter books too. As always there is never enough time for reading :)
Okay I fell in love with this story from the moment I read Chapter 1 on Wattpad. I had to find out if this was a book, so I left a comment asking :) She told me it was a book and would be out soon. I was so excited because I love shifter books & Terry Spear, so together ***insert a girly scream here, I was extremely happy!
In Terry’s books, you never have to wait to be sucked into the story. She had me at the first chapter. I read the book straight through with tiny breaks for necessities.
First impressions of Shannon, she is the type of girl who just wants to be loved but is always found by the wrong men. I love that she is not a pushover because I don’t want to read a story about a fainting daisy that always need rescuing and won’t try to rescue herself. I love my heroine’s strong and feisty and that is Shannon even when she is skittish.
Chase is a sexy man with a past that makes you cry. It makes you want to save him :) He would be a loner, but his friends won’t let him. I love this!! I love seeing people rally together and support each other when needed. I wish it happened more in life especially with kids.
All of this makes me love the shifter town of Yuma, and I hope this is a series because I want to read more about all of the secondary characters who I have already started loving.
I highly recommend this book to my shifter loving friends & those who already love Terry Spear!! Can’t wait to read more!!! ...more

The cover is yummy :) He is oh my gosh HOT, and you definitely don’t recognize the beasty in the background. But you recognize bits once you’ve read the awesome story :)
Okay, I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t read the rest of the series YET, and I say yet because I own them and heck my mom has already read them. If it wasn’t for time, I would have read them first. I will definitely be adding this book to my library as well because my mom will want to read it :)
I loved it this book from the start :) I was sucked right in and there is plenty of action mixed in with the sexual tension and content to make me very happy. I read it straight through without putting it down. I even paused the book I was reading because I needed a shifter fix ;)
Okay, I absolutely love Niki because she is strong and a fighter. She doesn’t even realize how much she needs Dean which makes me love her all the more. Dean is mysterious and sexy and all male with his dominant tendencies which Niki is having none of, but he also has this deep down hurt and needs Niki. I won’t tell you more than that because I don’t want to ruin it; you’re going to have to read it ;)
There is also a great mix of secondary characters that I already love, so Eliza better keep writing because I want their stories too :) I love series like this so I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more.

Totally an adult book, yep there are steamy sex scenes, so if this is not your thing might want to find another book.
Okay Celia had me from the start with this book. Lots of action, drama, and men who think they control everything. I love watching bonehead men think they have all the control, and watch them as they slower realize that it was all just in their head.
I love Mia because she stands up for herself and others and won’t back down. To me a strong female lead makes the book that much better. I can totally relate to some of Mia’s sense of self issues with her body that is not a size 5 or smaller. I loved watching her confidence with Ty grow. She is feisty, and I love that she doesn’t just roll over and do whatever she is told.
Ty is sexy and full of himself, and I loved watching his character grow and all his internal dialogue’s with himself were funny especially when he wanted to hurt someone.
I totally want more of this series, and hope I don’t have to wait long :) I see greatness here :)
If you are a shifter fanatic like me, you do not want to miss out on this book. I have several of Celia’s books that I’ve bought and haven’t read yet….time to fix that soon and get them all on my reader and read them. Must read for paranormal romance and shifter fans!!...more

Okay this one was just as action packed as the first. I loved that Cyn & Raphael were still very much a part of the book. More steamy scenes with Raphael!!! :) There is all sorts of new drama and trouble for Cyn to get into. We are introduced to a new vampire lord who I personally love to hate. Jabril is ruthless and totally evil.
I don’t want to give anything away, so this review is really hard to write. There is kidnapping, escapes, a serial killer, teenage runaways, angry vampires, and so much more. I love all the excitement and things to keep you actively engaged in read, I didn't want to put it down.
This is definitely a series I recommend to my paranormal romance fans who want action too with their romance. I will definitely be looking into acquiring the rest of the series in the future. I can’t wait to read more....more

The book started a little slow as some first books do while building the world for us, but in no time at all, there was all sorts of action. I have a few books that were realistic fiction, so I had to have a paranormal fix and chose this one because I needed a good vamp book. D.B. also challenged my vocabulary in this book, so I had to break out my Google to learn some new words :)
Okay this is totally an adult book with several very steamy scenes that wow is all I can say :) Cynthia or Cyn as she is fondly called is an amazing woman who fits into my warrior category who doesn’t sit on the sidelines like a damsel in distress. She definitely has issues thinking she is always unwanted because of her upbringing.
Raphael, hmmm what can I say about him. At first, I think I hated him for his arrogance and dictator like rule, but things happened and then BAM I loved him and wanted him for my own ;)
Watching Cyn and Raphael is infuriating and comical at times, but you can read the book to get more details. This book has intrigue, betrayal, lust, battles, and so much more. I can’t wait to read book 2 :) Then I’m going to have to invest in the rest of the series because I won’t be able to not read it.

I have a fondness for gargoyles because of my dad. He used to call me and my sisters his gargoyles, and I loved Disney’s show Gargoyles too!! This is the 2nd book I’ve read with Gargoyles in it, and I think I like them as much as my shifter and vamp books.
This book started a little slow for me, but this happens when you have a new world and characters to learn about. Ella and Kees are awesome, and I think this series is going to be a fantastic one and will only get better with each book.
Ella is a strong woman who keeps everyone at arm’s length because of her past which you will have to read about because I refuse to ruin it for you. Her life changes on the terrace of the museum she works for. She meet Kees who turns her world upside down. They can’t explain that they are somehow connected. This book has tons of action fighting the bad guys, magic, and some very steamy scenes as well. I can’t wait for the next book.
I recommend this book to all my fellow paranormal romance fans & of course all of you who already love Christine Warren as I do. ...more

The cover is stunning and gorgeous :) I loved it, and it definitely grabbed my attention.
This is a novella only about 40 pages and for adults since there is a steamy scene. I really enjoyed this story, and I think it is going to be a wonderful series. Lily is strong and knows what she wants when she makes up her mind. She has a past that we learn a little about. Her friend Sally is feisty, and I like her too. Kieran is the sexy cowboy in this story who is from another pack, but he had his eye on Lily for a while.
I think there is going to be a lot more to the pack with book 2 since is longer :) I’m hoping for more action because it is set up nicely.
I recommend this to any of my fellow shifter lovers because it is well worth the read and a bonus since it is free!!! ...more

The cover is beautiful and definitely how I would imagine Snow White. It is a very peaceful scene.
This story is a what happens after happily ever after when the Charming has passed way. Queen Snow White is on a journey to sort of re-discover herself and her hope for life. This story brings up some great topics of finding happiness after abuse and surviving the death of your spouse and several others. I don’t want to give away too much, but it is a great story. For me personally, there wasn’t enough action so some parts I considered slow, but it was very emotional; I cried a couple times while reading.
I enjoyed this story, and I think this is a great story for someone who is struggling with self-reflection and growth who also enjoy fairytale twists & for readers who loved emotional journeys. ...more

This series is great and I love it, but this book fell a little short for me. I feel like it was building towards something awesome, but then I was at the end. Rosa was meek and unconfident in this book, but she was starting to become the fighter she was in book 1 toward the end which is what I love about her. We have some new friends in this book and of course our returning favorites.
I’m betting the next book is going to be phenomenal. I think because we were introduced to a new way of life in this book that it felt like the first book in a series where you learn all sorts of things about characters and the world, but there wasn’t enough action for me. I definitely think you should read this because it is building to something great, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. :) ...more

I picked up this book up for free, and I believe it is permafree. I read it now as a judge for the Author and Reader Convention.
The cover is okay and a pretty girl, but it doesn’t do anything to attract me to the book.
This is not usually the type of book I would read, but I was pleasantly surprised that I really liked it. I am not usually a realistic/contemporary fiction person. This is a new adult book as it does have some steamy sex scenes. Dawn is a fantastic writer and makes it easy to connect with her characters.
This book also deals with cancer and grief just to forewarn you.
I really connected with Mallory who tends to run away from love and possible hurt. Of course, I connect with her because I have my own ‘Luke’ out there that I will always love; unfortunately, he doesn’t feel the same. I don’t know if this connection is why I really liked this book. I really fell in love with all of the characters in this book except Mallory’s roommates. I will definitely be continuing to read this series because I want to see what happens with Mallory and Luke’s friends.
I recommend this book to all those people who believe in second chances, love, and realistic contemporary fiction. ...more

Okay, the cover doesn’t do anything for me. It is not that there is anything wrong with it, but there is also nothing to attract me to this book in the cover.
I do not usually read Contemporary Romance, but I found I really liked this story. I loved that it was set in New Orleans, and I think this is why I connected to it. I have been New Orleans several times because when I was in the Air Force, I was stationed near there for tech school. I loved the French Quarter.
This story sort of reminds me of the movie The Gift with the will stuff going on after Thomas’ death. I really liked how Vincent loves his family and takes care of them. He is strong, but his demons keep him from finding what he needs.
Ophelia is sweet and caring, but I was a little annoyed at times because I would have liked her to be more confident and strong. Again that’s just my personal preference.
I loved the connections made to New Orleans because it made me connect to everything. If you are a fan of New Orleans and Contemporary Romance, then this is probably a great story for you :) I personally want to see what happens in Kaitlyn’s story in book 2 because she seems more like what I want my female lead to be :) ...more

Again, this is an adult series, and probably not for you if you do not like erotic ménage. The way Kate Douglas describes things is amazing because your imagination will have no problem processing her work.
I really love Addie’s personality, and she is such a strong character and fights for those she loves. In this adventure, we learn more about Az, and I easily loved his character because of Addie and her men. Ukopach is in this story too, and he is funny for a PG demon. Of course, they are more demons to battle and the threat of hell. I really liked this book, and I was happy with where it ended. If you enjoyed the other books in this set, you must read this one which I think is my favorite of the five. If you haven’t read this set of stories and especially if you are a Kate Douglas fan, you should read this because you will enjoy it. ...more
