The story gets off to a bit of a slow start, but picks up steam after a few chapters. The members of the murder club are very mysterious and entertaining. There are many twists and turns that take the reader down dead ends. I have to admit the ending left me frustrated. I had to go back and read the last four chapters again to fully understand what had happened, and I'm still not sure that I do. ...more

The idea of an FBI agent raping a female agent to maintain his cover was one I could not buy into. I also don't think a rape victim, FBI agent or not, would forgive and forget so easily. Those two words, Hello, Transcriber, will stick with me for a while and what came after weeks longer. I loved Hannah Morrissey's imagery as she dipicts both beauty and despair. The plot is exciting and had me pulling for the main character even when she was being a very bad girl. The one thing that kept me from giving this book five stars was the repetitive use of similes. Even with this in mind, I would recommend giving this author a try. Nora Wolfenbarger author of the thrillers, The Promise, and The Defiant....more

Strong characters were dropped in with little explanation and then never heard from again. The behavior of the main characters is so contradictory it leaves the reader confused and dissatisfied. I was left with the distinct impression the author has moved on from the good writing in his earlier books to producing as many books as possible in a year. ...more

The actions of the characters were unrealistic and as much as a person believes in the loyalty of some cops to one another, even to the point of breaking the law, this didn't cut it for me. Still, overall a reasonably good read. Nora Wolfenbarger author of The Blackbird Series. ...more

TI love it when an author fills the pages with characters showing off their cocky attitudes, sense of humor, and sharp minds. I was not disappointed. The plot was intriguing and pulled me back and forth between who to believe. Some of the legal scenes were repetitive and came off as filling white space, but I soldiered through and was proud of myself for figuring out who dunit. Overall a good read. He is deeply conflicted by a need to know why his mother abandoned him, and a need to prove he his better than the father who abused him. She shows his mental state spiraling deeper and deeper into a whirlpool of madness as he is drawn to right the wrongs against children and animals he enconters along the way. I enjoyed this story and its quirky ending. Nora Wolfenbarger author of The Blackbird Series. ...more
