I've complained about so many dumb things before, but a heroine being NOT annoying is a first for me
I bet the author did research by deep diving into rant reviews when she wrote Indy because the girl was: A) perfect B) very VERY (scarily) relatable C) without a doubt 100% like the other girls
And you best believe i'll never forget about it because she spelled it out to us at least 5 times.
“Are you a Starbucks girl? A bit basic don’t you think, Indiana?” My eyes narrow at the name. “Ever hear the phrase ‘she’s not like other girls’?” He gives a small nod of his head. “Yeah, that’s not me. I’m just like every other chick. As basic as they come. I had an Uggs phase. I had a skinny jeans phase. I like my books with romance, my coffee with more creamer than caffeine, and I even take aesthetic pictures of my food anytime I’m at a restaurant.”

“Your makeup. It looks pretty on you.” “That’s a weird thing to say.” “Why?” “Because you’re supposed to say you like me natural or something to that extent. That’s the typical opinion of the male species.”
I tried not to be stingy with my rating but suppressing natural instincts is unhealthy. Idk what it is, I loved loved the story, the couple, 3.9 stars

SICK I AM SO SICK
She stares into Mr. Solo’s dark eyes and a peculiar sensation washes over her: dread, and… peace. Relief. There is, finally, no alternative choice. There is nowhere to flee. She is one word away from stability and safety and nary a difficult thought ever again. A cage, perhaps. But it’s a very lovely cage.

“I would do it all over again.” His warm hand pauses atop her head, thumb tracing the arch of her brow, dark eyes quite intent upon hers. “In the same manner, with the same outcome, in any lifetime—I would do the same irrational, cruel things to have you, my love.” Mr. Solo raises his eyebrows. “In this life or the next, and in every life that has come before—in whatever forms we may take—you will always be mine. Do you understand, Rey?”
Ah such a sweet quote, such bleak reality.

Nicky catching Zs at the most appropriate times is why I'm rounding this up.
“Is this when you rape me?” I squeeze my balled fists tighter, so hard my knuckles ache. He rolls onto his back and stares at the ceiling, his mouth twisting in the corners. “Not tonight. I got a headache,” he says. And then he closes his eyes and doesn’t say another word.
“What did you do?” He stares me straight in the eye while he says, “I looked through your stuff. Laid in your bed. Took a nap.” “You took a nap?” “Yeah.”

BUT LENOCHKA IS NOT LIA.
Pardon the outburst. Anywho Lenochka is the diminutive way of saying Elena (Lena for short).
“What does that mean?” “What does what mean?” “Lenochka?” “Bright light.”
And meanwhile the name Elena does signify bright light, it still has nothing to do with Lia...more

I'm just sitting here crying from allergies, gently caressing the cover of this book and randomly thinking of how great life was while I was reading it:(
So here's my bitter message to everyone who still hasn't read it:
Fuck you.
Because I am jealous.

I don't know if I can ever trust Pam Godwin after this book.
Came in loving the atmosphere. Sad, well written, impactful, fun. But then we met Priest (H1). And most problems I have with this story always led back to PRIEST.
what a stupid fucking name, anyway.
The time Bennett (h) spent in Ashley Cutler's (H2) captivity was straight up 5 stars though. Ashley. My love. Everything I ever wanted in a hero. Absolute perfection of a man. He will beat your ass, throw you out the window, say he'll watch you hang, then spoon feed you some stew and gently caress the tangles out of your hair. Layers, complexity, range.
His mouth lowered. Mine lifted. Straining to meet, our lips parted, floated closer, closer, and paused just before making contact. Our chests rose in unison. Inhale. Exhale. In. Out. Deeper than a lick, more divine than a kiss, we became breaths. Nothing but trembling, heating, mating breaths. It was a magical, instinctual attraction. I pulled, and he came with me. He leaned back, and I followed.
Do you want me to list Priest's achievements too? Okay.... 1) cheat 2)
Anywho back to the important man in question. Ashley....I want you to know I'll never forget you as you were from chapters 15 - 38. You will be missed. May you rest eternally beyond the heaven's peaceful gates...more

If I ever want anyone to fuck me up so thoroughly I barely know how to live my life without them, I'd let Shay do the honours. BECAUSE DAMN that man knows how to ruin you.
This book took Shay's character to a whole new depth of obsession, manipulation, and lunacy.

I was afraid to start this because of two reasons. 1 - This was no longer categorised as MFM 2 - some reviewers hinted that the heroine ends up with someone, the key word being ONE.
Those were my only thoughts before starting the second book. Safe to say I was prepared to be either hurt, elevated or disappointed, and I am pleased to say I was 2 of those things.
In the past few hours while I inhaled Exodus I had fallen in love, gone through a heart break, laughed, sobbed until my eyes hurt, experienced so many fucking emotions. Disappointment was not one of them.
I fell in love with every single male character in this goddamn book. Even those who didn't matter that much. I mean Ryan? Cmon he was so cute. GODFORBID even Roman managed to crack my heart a tiny bit.
If the the first book was great, the second one was excellent. Now I expect the last one to be groundbreaking....more
