Ah, I know I have read this but it's not on my database. I'll add it as a best guess at the date I read it. Not only do you grow my to be read list you fill in the holes in my records!

He sounds like my kind of hero! I read The Great Stink of London: Sir Joseph Bazalgette and the Cleansing of the Victorian Metropolis a while back, which touched on these issues. This is already on my t-r lists. I ought to nudge it up a bit.
