First of all the hero's name is Bartholomew Vane.
Second of all, once again just like in Bass-Ackwards we get a great short novel that is ruined by a prolonged conflict that no one cares about.
Was gonna give this 4 stars before I lost interest & started skimming. Would still recommend for the first 70% of the book tho.

Love all the tropes you mentioned Mareeva 🙌 and his name is like what, 4-5 syllables? How many times did the heroine have to call on his name? 😄
