It Ends With Us could never. This is what a DV story should look like. Kristin Hannah did such a fantastic job showing the complicated feelings involved and how hard it is to leave, even though you know deep down you should.

I loved the comparison of her father’s nature to the Alaskan wilderness and how turbulent he became in the harsh winters.

So much pain and grief and hardship in the book but it was well done and I’m glad I read this.
