I'll start with saying, I applaud Jane for going after what she wants. Her determination to find love was definitely commendable. But attempting to attract men around the island by orchestrating popular romance tropes and situations was a little too ridiculous for me. Her antics often had me cringing.

On a positive note, I really liked Walker, a professional golfer who returns home to improve his swing. Being a more half-empty type of guy, Jane's enveloping positivity was the perfect contrast. His shameless flirting was a real treat, too! If you don't mind a little silliness, this was a cute read.

Erin Hmmm, ridiculousness is a hard pill for me to swallow… or anything that seems too contrived/unrealistic. I agree- cringy! thanks for the review!

I'm the same way! I've been struggling with clean romcoms in general lately for this very reason 😅

Anne-Marie Madore Appreciate what you shared about this book, Sarah. I love to read sometimes just for entertainment. But I don't like silliness whether it be in movies or books.
