In Follow, Part 1 event planner Grace Kinsella aka @FilthyBlueBird is traveling to the Caribbean after her best friend won a “honeymoon trip” for two from a radio station. Grace was orphaned at an early age, but she has made a good life for herself.
Much of her time is dedicated to her Twitter profile @FilthyBlueBird where, for the past three years, Hollywood heartthrob Vaughn Asher aka Master aka Mr. Buttinski has been her muse. Like most of JA Huss’s books, Follow is completely unique and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The concept is fun and sexy and it’s executed perfectly. Vaughn and Grace were something else! Let me introduce you to these awesome characters- first, there is Grace Kinsella…
Grace is the queen of tweeting. But really, it’s dirty tweeting that interests her. All of her filthy tweets have been directed at one man. One of the sexiest celebrities out there, Vaughn Asher. Here is just one example of the things that Grace tweets about when it comes to Vaughn-
Grace never thinks in a million years that while on vacation with her best friend, she would meet the one and only Vaughn Asher.
Vaughn wants Grace for the time she's there. It’s just two days… there is no way she can turn down 2 days with her greatest fantasy… could you?
Grace had the best inner thoughts. Usually it’s the guys head I love being in, and Vaughn was pretty great but for once the heroine stole the show for me.

With all the novella serials out right now, I’m so happy to have found one so unique and fun. And on the plus side, they are releasing about two weeks apart so there is no crazy long wait between books. I can’t wait to see what comes next for these two characters. There was no unbearable cliffy, but the ending left me wanting so much more!
I feel like this quote didn't fit in anywhere in my review, but it was probably my favorite line of the book so I had to add it ;)

3--Well...That Was Different--Stars!!
I think this might have been a case of I was expecting one thing and what I got was another.
I wasn't expecting the whole dom/sub element. Though if I go back and read the blurb, it's pretty clear. And dare I say, I had some 50 Shades deja vu???
So we have Vaughn and Grace.
Grace is a all about the social media.

I love the concept of this book. Two characters who use Twitter. I’m a fan of twitter because it’s a great way to connect with your favorite authors and bloggers. ��You get one tweet, one hashtag, and one chance to shine.' When someone tells me, "I don't get Twitter" my response is always to think of Twitter like texting on steroids.
I didn’t connect with this one like I had hope. Vaughn’s request to Grace just wasn't my thing. I've heard that as the series goes on the books get better and better. I glanced at the overall ratings for the books in the series and found out that book 1 has a 3.91 average rating and each book after that has at least 4.11 average rating. Looks like everyone is right.

For those that see the words serial, novella and series and roll their eyes... don’t dismiss this. These five books will be released in about two week increments so you don’t have to wait forever. And the best part. This was expected to be two books, meaning that most of the story was written then reformatted into smaller segments. JA does a great job explaining all this complicated stuff about the plot in her EOBS... by the way, read that – it’s just as entertaining as the books themselves.
So lets get back on point here. I wanted to cry when I had to finally stop halfway through to get a few hours of sleep before it was time to get up and I was rushing home to get back to the story. JA’s prior stories have always been able to captivate me when it comes to her plots and twists. Although the Social Media Series isn’t gritty like the DDD series or even as twisty as Ronin, Ford & Spencer’s stories; I have no doubt that the ‘keep them guessing’ style that she has outright mastered will hold true for this series.

This story is fictional, fairy tale, fantasy-land. Who hasn’t, at some point in their life, fantasized about meeting, and being magically whisked off their feet, by a famous movie star? And with the added twitter theme, it's just lovely. Highly entertaining in many ways. It's funny, angsty, and ironic, a great combination. It often put me in mind of a 'Bridget Jones' style book, having that self deprecating humour. It felt a little like a lust filled, TV show with an amusing edge. One that you eagerly tune into each week to keep up with the drama.
I'm talking affectionately about this book so why the 3.5 'I-liked-it' stars?
I have to admit that I had a couple of small eye roll moments at Vaughn's dialogue to Grace, but some would say that's part of his charm. Also, hand on heart, I haven’t completely warmed to the characters. Grace is a funny, entertaining lady with all her twitter saga and inner thoughts, I like her. I think my main issue is with Vaughn. So far, he hasn't done anything that endears me to him. I want to feel some kind of vulnerability, someway I can connect emotionally with him; but that’s what Vaughn expects from his women. He doesn't expect or need us to like him and that’s what he got from me, he’s so far, 100% arsehole. Having said that, Vaughn will hopefully win me over, and when he does, I know the feeling will be sweet. I foresee that this serial novella series is one that’ll slowly infiltrate my mind and compel me to love the characters.
I feel there’s still so much more to discover with this series, secrets and pain and heartache… I’m looking forward to the #filthy hashtag ride that I sense will become a HIGHLY addictive, CRAZY GOOD, MUST READ. I'm so ready for more!

This is my first JA Huss read. Don't shame me because I have shamed myself already!! Grace- dirty tweeter, event planner.......Vaughn- movie star, kinky bastard!!
I thought this book was Adorable. I felt like I was watching a show on HBO. It was funny, sarcastic, adorable, angsty, embarrassing, sexy, and of course, it had me saying "I can't wait till the next book is out" at the end. I loved the banter between Grace and Vaughn. I love discovering bits and pieces of both of them. I love that I want more of them because I know there are secrets to the both of them. I love that Grace is weak and she is strong. I must say that Vaughn is an ASS but I think he may have potential. (Don't all ASSHOLES have potential when they meet their better half?) As I read, I think it was so relatable. So many of us have celebrity crushes- what would you do if you met them and was offered a 36 hr romp of pleasure? Well this girl would sign on the dotted line .......no matter what they wanted!!!! But what if your fantasy is not what you thought? Would you go along with him for just for one night? Could you change to please him? And if you did, could you live with that?
I must say that I am quite giddy that this series has 6 books. This book series has moved into my "Can't Wait" line up. It's addictive and entertaining and I just know that I can't wait to see what happens in LIKE. I just feel like Vaughn has met his match. Will it be easy and sweet.....Hell No!! But if you are a Sex and The City Fan, Carrie in the end, ended up with Big. I think that Grace will end up with Vaughn, but will be easy, HELL NO...

So far I've loved everything that I have read by author JA Huss, and FOLLOW is no exception. I really enjoyed this one.
It was a quick read with enough steam to melt the panties right off of me!! Holy Hell!!
Grace Kinsella is a young Event Planner from Denver. She lives in her safe little bubble. Connecting with people online via Social Media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Things are in a messy state by the end of this one.
But I can't wait to see what's in store for Vaughn and Grace.
I hope that she gets her Fairy Tale ending. :)

So all of this starts with twitter. Where Grace have a (huge) crush on Asher. The hottest Hollywood movie star. Then things happen, they meet, there’s the possibility of a contract (yes, he is a dom) and well… I’m not wanting to spoil it (especially because it’s a really short book)… but get ready for a hell of hot ride!
Asher is kind of a big (asshole) that we can't help but love. But I'm really hoping he gets better.
Rating: 4 Stars.
Storyline: I’ll admit: I’ve never read anything from JA Huss and I’m not the biggest fan of this type of serials. I don’t like a big book turned into 6 or 7 small ones.
But after reading this, not only I’m looking at this author with new, curious eyes but I’m finding out that (at least in this book) this type of structure aren’t affecting me the slightest. I’m very curious to find out what’s coming (pun intended) next for them!
Steam: HOT. (And I don’t even want to think what’s coming next!)

These two people are living completely different lives, so how do the meet? Well, I am glad you asked. Grace wins a trip to St. Thomas, and is staying at the resort owned by Vaughn when they meet.
I loved this concept and cannot wait to see where things are going. So I will just be honest and reveal just how much of a book nerd I am, okay here goes. I joined Twitter at the recommendation of one of my besties, Amy. Amy was telling me about how the authors will interact with you, so me being a super book fan - I was all in. So I completely get the appeal of Twitter and getting to interact with people you usually wouldn’t interact with. That is why I loved this idea, its completely original.
I am looking forward to more dirty tweets, words, and acts from these two!

I'll keep this like Grace's underwear, brief.
This is an author I very much enjoy reading and I fully expected to like this; for the first 20-30% I absolutely did and for the rest... I was mostly confused.
I felt as though there were two stories running parallel together one I liked and the other, not so much and because of that I found it hard to connect on a whole.
Grace is fun, chatty and a proud dirty-tweeter (with mad skills). Her obsession & subject of her tweets? Vaughan Asher, hunky Hollywood actor Vaughan Asher; and just like a scene out of a Hollywood movie she finds herself on the Vacation of a lifetime staring as his temporary leading lady.
In regards to the BDSM element of the story, this is what I found didn't work for me. Not the BDSM per se but the going in and out of character during scenes; incidentally it only served to pull me out of the scene; feeling more like they were both playing a role than being in the moment and not feeling very organic.
There where parts that where fun to read and enjoyed the comedy value. I'd like to explore the vulnerability of Grace and hope that the BDSM doesn't over shadow the rest of their relationship or story.
Here's hoping...

1.5 Why did I bother...
Why, oh why, after all the big bad alphas I've been reading about, why did I have to pick up this book? Ah, I know why! I expected something fun and light and fast. What I got was pissed off...
It's a 150-page book and I skipped most of it. It was a bit of a turn off when the H wanted to call the h "girl". I get fantasies and all that, but the idea of a submissive "girl" made me think of a kid who has no idea what he/she wants. And well, the h was exactly like that! She was so confusing, I didn't really understand if she was strong or weak or what she wanted in the end.
The H was a bit of an ass (and not the fun, sarcastic kind). And a bit of an idiot. And maybe annoying. Let's not forget the fact that he was a pretty flat character. So a little bit of a lot of negative traits.
Again, why did I bother?
It's short and it ended fast (definitely not because of the skimming, nope!).
Why 1.5 stars, not 1? The writing wasn't awful, it was actually pretty good. It made me want to read (skim?) this book 'til the end, so all's good.
Is it worth reading? Nope, probably not.

Gee, I don't know where to begin with this one. First of all, I am going to rate it 2.5 stars and then admit that I am hesitant about whether I want to continue with this series or not. I usually rate Book one's lower for some reason, so it is quite possible that the series may grow on me; but I can honestly say that I am not wowed by it at all. I love J.A. Huss as a writer, so I am going to chalk this up to this maybe just not being something that floats my boat! I'll list a few reasons and call it a day.
We are introduced to Grace Kinsella, who is an avid tweeter..(yes, I mean she likes Twitter!)She has had an obsession about an actor named Vaughn Asher; and she tweets about him ALL of the time. Oh, did I forget to mention that in her tweets she talks about him in sexual contexts..Like wondering how big of a dick he has etc...This in itself I find to be quite childish and somewhat disturbing, especially considering she also knows all his information everything. I did this kind of thing (minus the sex stuff!! I swear!)when I was a preteen! So, my first complaint is, what grown woman does this kind of thing...and on Twitter to boot?? I mean, most of us have careers and such and certainly don't have time to basically stalk an actor we love and admire. Maybe I am being picky; but its is what went through my head!!
Grace happens to go to an island honeymoon getaway with her best girlfriend, and low and behold; who is there but Vaughn Asher..and I will add..the guy is a huge egotistical prick..in my opinion. Long story short, he wants Grace for some Dom/Sub action. This is where some familiar happenings begin that reminded me a little bit of 50 Shades. Everytime he went to get upset with Grace about her swearing, and threaten to punish her; it brought me back to how Christian reacted..It set me off, as it was just too much of the same thing. I have no problem with the BDSM elements in my reads, in fact; I enjoy it just as much as the next person..This time though it didn't do anything for me. I found there arguing to be annoying, and the lack of consistancy from "Master" Asher just way to irritating.
I hate to be hugely negative about a book; but these are my true feelings as I was reading. I can see myself continuing to the next few books to give the series a chance; but I am not super eager to do it at this time. Hopefully as the series continues things get better, and maybe Grace and Vaughn will fall into a more comfortable Master/Sub relationship.
Do I still enjoy J.A Huss as an author..? Absolutely! I'm still a huge fan, and I still feel she is an awesome writer. This just wasn't the best read out there for me..Moving on..

I found there arguing to be annoying, and the lack of consistancy from "Master" Asher just way to irritating.
I hate to be hugely negative about a book; but these are my true feelings as I was reading. I can see myself continuing to the next few books to give the series a chance; but I am not super eager to do it at this time. Hopefully as the series continues things get better, and maybe Grace and Vaughn will fall into a more comfortable Master/Sub relationship.
Do I still enjoy J.A Huss as an author..? Absolutely! I'm still a huge fan, and I still feel she is an awesome writer. This just wasn't the best read out there for me..Moving on..

Oh. My. Gawd. What was that? Comedy? Steam? I felt totally out of the loop by the time I gave up. Is Asher seriously a Dom? If he is, he's the most unbelievable douchenozzle of a Dom I've read. I mean, this is a famous actor and he's meeting this chick for the first time on a beach, stripping her naked (except for the men's briefs she's wearing), and sticking his finger in her mouth to suck??? Seriously? Where's the NDA? It's comical...that's for sure. But not in a way that is enjoyable (ha ha) to me. Insert one eye roll after the next...

P.S-I said I enjoyed this book and gave 4 instead of 5 stars because there were more of dirty talking and less of sex as in it was all about anticipating when it’s going to happen and how otherwise it was great read.

Thank God the books will be out with only 2 week intervals! I don't even know how I'll be able to wait this short time, I am so freakin' excited!

The writing style was interesting, sadly the characters weren't really captivating.
Vaughn is movie star while Grace is a tweeter, I just couldn't relate. And throw in BDSM -- didn't make sense in the plot!
I might be minority for this book, but there are great reviews out there.

Not sure how to rate this one....
I found the push and pull thing the couple had going on a little weird. The heroine totally freaked out when the Movie star hero wanted an NDA. I understood her reservations, but it was extreme.
Then the whole way the heroine couldn't make up her mind; 'I want to/don't want to submit'; her running away, him chasing her. Sado/Macho and Slave/Master isn't really my thang either.
What i liked, really liked the humor and the hero was quite a nice character, the heroine though, she was hard work.

What killed this book for me
1)Run on sentences.
2) Bella Aurora (Raw, Friendzoned ect...) and this author have something in common. They don't know how to use ; semicolons.
I DNF'd at 40%. Those who know me will understand why. I don't deal with 8th grade writing antics. This arena is for the big dogs. Either go big or go home.
SEMICOLON:is a punctuation mark that separates major sentence elements. A semicolon can be used between two closely related independent clauses, provided they are not already joined by a coordinating conjunction.
