In the third Serengeti Shifters novella (published through Samhain Press), prim schoolteacher and dominant lioness Mara Leonard wants to find a loyal, loving mate and have some cubs. Unfortunately, the gorgeous lion shifter she’s been seeing is a flirt and ten years younger than she is.
Michael Minor is in love with Mara and thinks she would be the perfect mate, so he’s completely blindsided when she breaks up with him. He’s the only adult lion in the Three Rock Pride that cannot control his inner cat, meaning he sometimes loses control and shifts into his cat form without notice. Because of that, everyone treats him like a cub, even though he’s responsible, honest, and mature in every other way. At the threat of losing Mara, he finally decides to prove both to Mara and to the pride that he’s not the child everyone believes him to be.
Both Mara and Michael are such heartfelt characters, and their pain and heartache makes you want to grab a tissue. They both feel so strongly about what they want out of life and are both determined to get it no matter what. I loved seeing them push past their problems and Mara’s misconceptions to find what they’ve always wanted in each other.
Landon, Ava, and Zoe are great in their secondary roles in trying to help out the H/h.
The writing is tight and good. I look forward to reading more in the series

In the first Serengeti Shifters novella, beta lion Ava Minor wants to have fun in a rough human bar. As the smallest, weakest lion in her pride of lion shifters, she is used to the other lionesses bullying her, male lions ignoring her, and having to deal with her four overprotective brothers. In the bar, she unexpectedly comes face-to-face with the new alpha in her pride, the only man she’s ever really wanted.
After years as a nomad, Landon King challenged the former alpha of the Three Rocks Pride months earlier and won the right to lead the pride. He wants to change the antiquated rules and bring the pride into the modern era, but he knows he needs a mate to help him bring about the changes. Though he forces Ava to leave the bar to save her from her own folly, he cannot control himself around her. She challenges him in ways he never expected, and neither of them believes one night together will be enough.
Wow! I love this story. Ava is so smart and brave, but she doesn’t realize her inner strength because she’s been put down her entire life. Landon is definitely open-minded and willing to do whatever is necessary to protect his new pride as well as honoring his heart, so I liked him a lot.
Zoe, Landon’s sister, is awesome, and I’m looking forward to reading her book later in the series. Ava’s brothers need to be knocked down a few pegs, but their stubbornness stems from love and a need to protect her, even when she doesn’t need protecting.
I enjoyed Ms. Andrews’ voice and writing style. I didn’t notice any typos or spelling mistakes, which is very refreshing. Even though this novella is short, it told a full story. Still, I really wish the story would’ve been longer because I enjoyed the characters and the world building, and didn’t want it to end.

Not at all provocative as the title might suggest. A quirky young woman and an exorcist fall in love is the main plot point. His services are being sought out by wealthy bored housewives trying to seduce him. She is the secretary at his office and part time wedding planner. But everything seems to be going wrong with the wedding she's planning First the florist, then the baker, the band you name it something goes wrong. Slowly but surely she put it right. But all the bad luck the wedding is experiencing is actually do to a mischief demon. there's much more to the story then this and apparently is a part of a series with each book being a different person from the Karmic Consultants office.… (more)
