Guys, I do not like secret baby plots. So imagine my surprise when I really enjoyed Sinner’s Steel. While pursuing a bad dude, Zane stumbles on the teenage love of his life, Evie. Living and working in his town! What a coincidence! Evie thinks he deserted her at the worst possible moment in her life, Zane thinks she betrayed him by marrying another man and having his child. And then there is an evil dude bound and determined to get Evie for himself! Nicely, the secret baby isn’t a secret for long and the drama between Evie and Zane isn’t eye-rollingly drawn out. Also, Zane is (mildly) kinky, so that is kind of fun.… (more)

I don't think the author understood that "Fight Club" is a satire that attacks modern toxic masculinity. Ms Castille seems to think Fight Club is hot and that assigning ridiculous predatory names to one another is even hotter. I won't go into the story (which includes hilariously unhinged student loan collection call center workers and horny unattractive nefarious hospital intake supervisors) but trust that it is bad. I skimmed a lot of this and went with a 2-star instead of 1-star because it did make me laugh a fair bit.… (more)
