This was a cute second chance romance book. The characters were complex and made you want to know them better. I liked that both Spencer and Nicole were flawed, and they both owned it. It made them believable. The storyline was original. I really enjoyed this book.

The description sounded interesting, but it doesn't reveal exactly what the con woman does. When I found out in the first scene, I felt so sick that I didn't want to continue reading. Since it was an early reviewers book, I forced myself to keep going for a few more chapters, but I just find the con woman's deeds so off-putting, I could not like or empathize with her character at all. Maybe other people will be able to appreciate the book and her redemption arc more than I did.

I thought some of the explicit sex scenes detracted from what otherwise was a well paced interesting story. I will definitely want to read more from this author as I find her very talented and interesting.
