Selections from the classic Indian work of political thought. This now makes available, at a very inexpensive price, classical South Asian political thought as well as East Asian and Mediterranean thought of the Axial Age. Kautilya's treatise on kingship, predating Aristotle, is the earliest text on political economy and the one of the oldest theories of governance.
