Included are poems, some of which we now sing as carols, as well as some well chosen excerpts from several authors including Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Sir Walter Scott, and Thomas Hardy. The paintings add much to enjoyment of this anthology with their lavish colors and details.

I wish you could still buy something like this as a unique wedding gift. Mine, given to me by my groom, still smells of orange blossom. It includes a lovely collection of classic poetry and excerpts from classic books organized from proposal right through to honeymoon. Eliot, Harding, Bennet, Balzac, de Maupassant, Byron, Keats, Donne, Poe and Wharton are included, to name just a few.
