Tense and violent

First book by Jeff Strand I have read. Very plausible situation , as we all know someone who could be like Darren :) The characters are believable and their actions ring true to character. Lots of violence, without it being pointless.

Well that was different

The characters were unique, and realistic. Situations were bizarre but plausible. Glad I was just a reader, not one of the characters.

The Odds by Jeff Strand
The odds are this is a winner

I went into this thinking it would be a frenetic, gory, humor filled tale. Boy was I wrong. This is a taut, harrowing, psychological case of torment. Very good characterization, inventive challenges for The Game. Just a fast paced rollercoaster of tension.

The Haunted Forest Tour by James A. Moore
Reminded me of the second half of Cabin in the Woods, which I loved. However, where Cabin in the Woods had well thought-out and creative monsters, this didn’t. The first act was fun though and lots of action throughout.
