Another covid-19 book that was ok. I liked that it was a Canadian book set in Victoria, BC. I’m an agnostic and was surprised when the book took a religious turn. I kept reading since I wanted to know how the story would play out.

Much shorter than expected, or maybe I just enjoyed the read so much that I was saddened when I finished. Either way, a good read.

A three year old girl is the victim of a hit and run. Left in a coma, she has the ability to heal the sick.

Each chapter has sections told through the different points of view of the characters. The ending was disappointing (too rushed), but overall this book was really good.

Chris is a struggling writer whose marriage is strained and who doesn't have a great relationship with his eleven year old son, David. He finds and gives David a book, one that he had read as a child, for his birthday, but it's not the book David had wanted.

Chris begins reading the book to his son each night before bed, and delights in the fact that David becomes very interested in it, but then the seizures begin.

A bit drawn out, but overall a good book.
