most of this was amazing -- the depth of feeling and its reflection in the art and paneling

but the ending ruined a lot of it for me. the author tried to wrap up all the themes nicely, tightly, oversimplifying everything all at once into a neat little trite hackneyed conclusion that cheapened/disrespected the rich depth of struggle that led up to it ( )

Gorgeous, funny, a little agonizing in the self-recognition-in-fictional-characters-who-are-the-Worst (but I love them) kind of way. ( )
