Loading... The Darker Side of Love (edition 2012)by Jessica RustonI read all her earlier books and i find that this book by far the most dramatic book. The book tells the story of the other side of relationship; its headaches and betrayal. It is often that one would envy the others for what they have.. yet it may not be as rosy as want thought it is. In this book, it tells the story of four best friends; Harriet, Caroline, Izzy and Stella with individually having their own heartache to deal with. The story involved betrayal, adultery, denial and abuse from their loved ones and the way they have to deal with their matters. The book consists of high drama in the character's lives and when the story start to have a turn for good, i was happy because, there just too many of heartache one can withstand. Overall, the book provide a really good story for those who is always envious of other people's live because it provide the insight and realisation that it may not be as what it seen. I have to admit that this isn't my usual choice of fiction, but I wanted to give it a go. The story revolves around a group of couples and their seemingly complicated lives. It was pretty busy and quite difficult to keep up with who was sleeping with who and who fancied who etc. On the plus side, it was reasonably well written and did hold my attention whilst actually reading it. However, I found that once I had put the book down and went back to it the next day......I had already forgotten the storylines. Maybe a good one to pack in your suitcase. This book was made available to me, prior to publication, for an honest review. |
