I liked it a bit more than the 1st book in this series. There seemed to be a better connection with the main characters. However, for me it is still no more than a 3.75 star story. This series is definitely new adult type stories, but the writing is very well done. It's just that the characters sometimes have very immature reasons for behaving the way they do.
I have read a lot of her 'Newer' series and this series is a lot lighter. The characters are more fun in a youthful kind of way.
The characters in this series are often referred to in her other series and are interesting. So I will get around to reading them all.

Liked this one better than the first one. I did like that the heroine was not so crazy and OTT. I liked the whole awkward around hot guys thing. I would have even liked it to have been carried through more of the book since once she hooked up with Eddie that sort of fell by the wayside. Still would like some POV from the hero. Love the light hearted feel of these books. It's fun to just lose yourself in some crazy shenanigans whether they are realistic or not. ( )

I loved Eddie Chaves but Jet took to get confident and comfortable about herself ( )

Since I started out reading her later series I decided to go back and see what I missed.

Should have known it would be worth it. KA writes some great stories with colorful background characters that just make you want to binge read all of her books.

I'm off to the next one. ( )

Eddie and Jet, such an amazing story.

Emotional roller-coaster, Jet is a stunning character who has low self esteem. Her initial interactions with Eddie are so funny.
She is so busy running around looking after everyone else, she crushes poor Eddie's ego when she doesn't have time for him, its hilarious.
When Eddie mutters in Spanish or is described as firing off rapid Spanish it's so funny.

We also catch up with Lee and Indy and the rest of their friends, we are introduced to Daisy who is a much loved character of the series.

The sister fight in Fortnum's is hilarious. We see a snippet of Mace, Marcus and of course get ready for the next book, Hank and Roxie.

Jet is a hardworking, take care of everyone but herself woman who cannot catch a break. Eddie is a cop who takes care of business, is loyal to family and friends, and has his sights set on Jet. Little does he know the trouble breathing down her neck. What a fun story. Jet is a great addition to the Rock Chicks. So many cameo's from my favorite characters from the first Rock Chick book. Highly recommended. ( )

Jet McAlister, the newest employee of Fortnum's Bookstore, is completely oblivious to that fact that the police detective, Eddie Chavez, is interested in her. Jet is always busy doing whatever she has to do to take care of her family. Her loser father has abandoned them and Jet also works parttime as a waitress in a strip joint to take care of her mother who's still recovering from a stroke.

When her dad comes back to town he owes a lot of money to criminals who want to be paid back. They're not afraid to threaten Jet's life to get it. Between kidnappings, knife fights, and bar brawls Eddie decides to make sure Jet knows she belongs to him.

Jet is emotionally immature, constantly making terrible decisions about her life and relationship. Eddie and the Denver police seem incapable of using any sort of logic to find Jet's father.

Rock Chick Rescue is a mix of action and romance. Several of the characters from the first book not only showed up in this book, but were integral parts of the story. I can't say I enjoyed much of this clumsy, overlong romance but it does get great reviews so I believe I'm the exception. ( )

I'm not sure that this author knows how to write short books. So much detail, hilarity, shenanigans, trouble, and chaos and yet, she makes every moment worth it and have meaning.

Loved Jet and Eddie. I really am enjoying watching the characters all become friends. Moreover, I can see why this series is such a favorite for so many people. ( )

Jet works two jobs to take care of herself and her mother and thinks she's boring and plain, she is also in love with hot Mexican cop Eddie. Eddie does a lot to try to get her attention and she does a lot of running. Lots of laughs even when Jet being stocked after her gambler dad gets her into deep trouble.

Eh, 3.5.

I wanted to like Jet as much as I liked Indy. Indy is a total disaster, but you can’t help but love her crazy self. Jet is just a disaster. And a whiner.

Lee is bossy alpha all the way, but he knows Indy so well, he’s really just trying to keep her alive, or call her on her rubbish. Eddie, he’s alpha bossy, but he’s only just met Jet. He figures her out pretty quick, but still. The ordering her around bothered me more in this context.

The cast of extras was who kept this one going for me. Daisy was a fantastic addition, even Jet’s mom and her crew were good for some laughs. Blanca was pure brilliant. The return of Tod. I really love Tod. Stevie...is a little uptight sometimes. But, Tod is fanfreakintastic. ( )

I actually like Jet more than Indy! She is so sweet and endearing. And again, like all these books, the secondary characters are hilarious and perfect! ( )

Once again I'm in the minority in preferring this book to the Indy and Lee's story. Don't get me wrong, Rock Chick is an entertaining read, but Indy's drama is simply too over the top for me.

Jet's shy nature and sweet personality is far more appealing even if she isn't as self-confident as Indy or Aly. One of the best aspects of the story is her coming into her own, and those moments when she sticks up for herself and for those she cares about are wonderful (and not a little bit kick-ass).

Eddie is seriously scorching and his over-the-top possessiveness, which seems to rub some readers the wrong way, didn't bother me. Perhaps it's a sign of having read too many KA alpha-hole heroes.

One minor issue is the rather abrupt ending with Eddie and Jet's HEA in the works, but not completely THERE. The book could certainly do with one of KA's incredible epilogues.

All in all, a rare case in which the sequel is better than the original and I look forward to listening to Hank's story next. ( )

Quite enjoyable, although I had the feeling throughout the entire book that I was reading [b:Rock Chick|6538757|Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1)|Kristen Ashley|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327912999s/6538757.jpg|6730978] all over again, just changing the names of the characters. And without the witty retorts that made me love book 1.
I liked it, but not as much as the previous one. I'll keep on reading the adventures of the Rock Chicks and their Hot Squad, of course. ( )

Re-read on audio.

I never before realized how annoying Jet is. Ugh.

Narrator didn't do a good Eddie. ( )

Oh. My. God. Eek!!! Dooda?? Still a fun book much like Rock Chick but some of Jet's phrasing got a bit redundant. I still love that this book takes place in my hometown of Denver and I know of all the places where the characters in the book frequent. Smithy's, really a strip club called Shotgun Willy's. I'll probably keep going with the series just because it is fun and hope that the next Rock Chick as a little wider vocabulary. ( )

Poor Jet. I saw many didnt give her the love in reviews. I understood why Jet was the way she was. When you've been the holding your finger in the dam so long trying to avert a major disaster its hard to pull it out and realize the reason you stuck it in there to begin with are no more. Jet's just to busy trying to keep it all together that she has totally sacrificed herself in the process and doesnt take well to attention and is scared to death of another person leaving her like her father did so she ends relationships just as they are getting good.

Eddie had just the right amount of patience to deal with Jet,even with the constant threats to her life from her father's gambling problem spilling over into her life.

Not as much humor in this one but it was great to see where Shirleen got introduced into the series. As usual all the supporting cast and families made the book even better. ( )

I had heard such good things about Kristen Ashley and when I read Rock Chick I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the book..This one was just like the first. I loved the characters (especially the returning characters like Indy, Ally, and Tex.. (don't forget the Lee and his boys) and Hank and Eddie. I loved Eddie in the first book and sort of kind of felt a little sorry for him. Now I loved how him and Jet worked out although there were a few times when I really wanted to reach into my Kindle and

when she got really annoying and all. In the end it all worked out I can't wait to read more of this series and more Kristen Ashley books!

I enjoyed the story and seeing the side characters all back together. The gang is fun, hit and hilarious when mixed together. This one in the series dealt with Jet, her looser of a father ( what a load of trash he was) her terrible insecurities, overwhelming responsibilities and her unending self depreciation. This girl is determined to be undeserving no matter what. I found that so distasteful and the amount over done for my taste. Her father, got in debt and everyone if running around trying to get to him before the bad guys do. Lives are threatened, blood is spilled, and lies are told. It gets crazy intense, and still manages to have some LOL moments. I just didn't like these tow very much. She was so self defaming and he was way too possessive
Eddie, what can I say he's hot, he's sexy, he's not afraid to push and he's super interested in Jet. He is close to his family and his Momma is very interested in grandchildren. He pulls out everything for Jet, no holding back only to be knocked back again and again. I found him a bit too caveman with the 'My Woman" stuff
I like this authors style very much and enjoy her reads I juts didn't love this one ( )

The feel of this book was a little different from the first Rock Chick, starting by the lead heroine which is Jet and she had a difficult childhood and her life now is just as difficult what with her having to provide for her and her mother and a gazillion more problems that she has. Eddie was a lot more bold in his actions than Lee, but I still think Lee wins in the yummy category. So happy to see all the gang from the first one together again and just as funny. Tex is such a sweetheart that I wish he should've appeared more, but the book and the writing is still deliciously good. Can't wait to read the next one, since we didn't have any clue about who the main characters were going to be. :) ( )

I liked Jet and Eddie's story, just not as much as Lee and Indy's.. I want more Hank and Mace! I think I may have fell in love with them both a little in this book. Don't get me wrong Eddie was pretty hot and swoon worthy too. I don't mind Jet, she was kind of clueless at times and I thought it was crazy that she fought against it so much. I get it, but it was still frustrating. (I could of done without the doo-da, her calling it that irritated me..) Once again loved all the old characters and the new ones! I think maybe I would of enjoyed this more if maybe we got inside Eddie's head. I liked how flirty he was in Rock Chick, but I feel like we didn't get that as much..

On to the next... ( )
