Loading... Drop It, Rocket! (Step Into Reading, Step 1)by Tad HillsEasy-to-read #2 This book is intended for early readers. This book would be good for first and second grade. This book talks about a dog, who keeps finding things outside. He picks them up and someone says "Drop it, Rocket", and he drops it. He is a good boy. This book is good for students who are learning new vocabulary and learning to read. This book is very repetitive so it allows the students to find familiar words and repeat them. This repartition will help the students remember these works for the future. The end of the book has a page of vocabulary that students can read. I would use this book if we were learning to read, or learning vocabulary that was used in the book. The book is about a dog that continuously brings different types of items to a bird. Each time he brings something new, the bird says, "Drop it, Rocket!" He describes to Rocket which each of these items are. This is a good short book teaching students certain words- leaf, star, tree, bird, dog, book, boot, stick, hat. It uses pictures to describe each word. |
