We are thrilled to co-host an event with UNICEF on 'Child Protection and Safety in the Digital Age' on 24 September on the margins of UNGA. 🤳 There are diverse challenges and risks associated with children’s rights and safety when they engage with digital and emerging technologies. While digital and emerging technologies present opportunities for children to create and express their identities, socialize and build relationships, and learn and build skills for the future, they also present risks. 🌐 The session will be an opportunity to draw attention to the child rights elements of the Global Digital Compact, focusing on children’s safety and empowerment, and facilitate an action-orientated discussion on its implementation. Registration is free, but space is limited. Register now: https://lnkd.in/evHabekC 📅 24 September ⏲ 2:00 - 3:30pm 📍 Andaz Hotel, New York City

🚨 Artificial intelligence is transforming the global workplace, but its impact may be uneven across geographies and job sectors. 🌍 A recent Forbes article highlights the report “Mind the AI Divide: Shaping a Global Perspective on the Future of Work,” published by the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology and the International Labour Organization. Key issues include the job stratification driven by AI—where lower-wage tasks like data annotation are prevalent in underdeveloped regions, while higher-skill roles such as model building are concentrated in wealthier economies. The rise of algorithmic management is also reshaping working conditions by reducing workers' autonomy and increasing oversight through algorithms. 👉Read the Forbes article: https://lnkd.in/e9AyQNCS 👉Access the full report: https://lnkd.in/e_gFC7rM #AIGovernance #DigitalCooperation (Image from Forbes)
