Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 Season 4 Season 5 Movie Full List

Season 4 is the fourth season of Big City Greens. It, alongside with a musical movie, were announced ahead of the third season premiere.[1] It premiered on September 23, 2023[2] with "Truck Stopped"/"Jingled", and is expected to premiere new episodes through the rest of 2024, 2025, and possibly 2026.

Overview

Like all other seasons except for the third, Season 4 will consist of 30 half-hour episodes (nine of which have been released), with an amplified take on what the previous season(s) had; still including music, guest stars, and special episodes. Episodes are once again released in groups, consisting of about 4-6 premieres every few months like the third season, instead of groups of ten like the second.

On August 24, 2023, it was announced that Season 4 would air in September of 2023, along with the first two episode titles. A key poster was also concurrently released, foreshadowing many things and episodes through many magnets and objects on a refrigerator.

In an interview two days before the movie's premiere, Chris and Shane mentioned there are still "lots of episodes" to premiere, including the 100th episode "One Hundred". The overarching arc involving Chip returning for revenge will continue with a number of "tentpole" episodes, concluding with the special "Chip's Revenge".[3]

Production

On January 21, 2022, the series was renewed for a fourth season ahead of the official season 3 premiere. Along with that, a musical spin-off film has been ordered and will premiere on both Disney Channel and Disney+.[1]

Partway through the season, production was paused in order to finish production on Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation. There was a six-month hiatus from October to April during said production gap. The show went on hiatus again after the ninth episode for another six months between April and October for the movie, to make room for the premieres of Zombies: The Re-Animated Series (which aired a sneak peek after the movie and premiered June 27, with new episodes taking up the show's usual timeslot), Primos (which premiered July 25; the following month), and the Season 2 premiere of Hamster and Gretel in September, with a sing-along version of the movie airing the same month.
