Afterimage (残像, Zanzou) is the twenty-first episode of GARO: The Makai Flower.
Synopsis[]
While battling a regular Horror, Raiga encounters the eighth Slab Horror, Gogeet. During Raiga's attempts to track and seal him, the cloaked figure from the museum observes silently from the shadows before intervening, letting Eyrith's Seed escape to the final slab Horror.
Summary[]
Matō chases a man and kills him. He then walks away with Ai.
Raiga battles a Horror as Matō watches. Matō offers to help, which Raiga turns town. Matō, now transformed into Gogeet kills the Horror before battling Raiga. Ai enters the battle, causing it to stop.
As he tells Jill about Gogeet, Raiga asks her what happens to Mayuri once Eyrith has been stopped.
Gonza and Crow talk about how Crow does not have any family.
Mayuri meets Ai and detects that Gogeet has the seed of Eyrith before Matō disappears. The cloaked figure watches as the knights and Mayuri chase Matō. Raiga and Crow battle Gogeet, eventually defeating him. As Mayuri is about to seal the seed of Eyrith, Eiji Busujima reveals himself.
