Halloween Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance[]

Halloween Chao have white pudding-like bodies with a carved pumpkin for a head. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, no legs or feet, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, their arms don't have digits. They also have light purple tips on their arms and a short and round tail. For attire, they wear a wide brimmed black witch hat with a purple band, and a black cape. Additionally, they hold a brass lantern in their right hand.

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Halloween Chao is a collectible pet of the "Seasonal" rarity. It could be unlocked by getting a gold rank on the Green Hill time trial during the Unleash The Beast event

In gameplay, Halloween Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Halloween Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Halloween Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Halloween Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Halloween Chao by collecting five Halloween Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Halloween Chao will combine the base stats of all the Chao involved, but it also keeps the Halloween Points and level of the specific Chao that was fused.
