"My novels and comics are spent. My continuity has ended. Canon has deserted us. Pablo Hildago's betrayed me. Abandon your posts! Flee, flee for your lives!"
Quite obviously, Lelal Mekha ( ) is a user and contributor of this nerdy encyclopedia. He's been contributing since November 162006 with a modest amount of edits.
Behind the scenes[]
Underneath the shadowy trappings of Lelal Mekha, you may find another being known as Alban, a twenty-something Belgian. That would be me. I'm a French language teacher. I used to be a member of the 501st Legion in the Fan Wars Garrison (South Belgium), as SL-3313 with my EmperorPalpatine costume.
As my old teacher could have said, I'm only "Wookieepedia's humble, little daisy" ; I know I'm quite unsignificant as a contributor, but I've enjoyed every bit of being on this encyclopedia for a few years. As you'll see, I only create small, unassuming articles. See the picture in the infobox: do I not look as though butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth? :-p
Five things I'm ashamed to love in the Star Wars lore[]
Charal --- She styles herself as witch-queen in sheer tolkienian style. How, just how could I not like her? Plus, she was the first Nightsister ever to appear (and she did'nt even know that herself back then).
Life Day --- In time of war, who wouldn't like to celebrate a day of peace, a day of harmony ?
Ackmena --- Pretty sure she is Force sensitive. I even wrote a fanon story in which Ben Kenobi tried to persuade her to learn the ways of the Force (yet, she refused, because she is a friend and a mother to her patrons ; who else would take care of them if she went away playing Jedi?).
Willow --- Technically not part of Star Wars, but should have been. Demon Queen Bavmorda ? Another stranded Nightsister, of course.
Zorba Desilijic Tiure --- Bearded Hutts with dreadlocks are legen... wait for it.... dary. Legendary.
(To be continued...)
Current projects on the Wook[]
Improve Balinaka and turn it into a Good Article ;
Expand the "clothing" and "hair" articles to turn them into well detailed general articles ;
Malakili, because that poor bloke deserves more than that—he's lost a loved one, after all ;
Don't you get me wrong, fellows: I know we do not choose canon, we only have to cope with it. Still nonetheless I've got to say I do NOT like Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I've seen quite a few episodes, and I admit it's quite enjoyable. However, throwing away years of good stories just for the "rule of cool" is plain disrespectful. Asajj Ventress' and Adi Gallia's fates in Star Wars: Obsession 5 is now deemed non-canon, which is pretty unfair. Now that's the straw that breaks the camel's back. I'm not willing to fight against this "new canon" for it would be pointless and against our policies. Yet, this is my user page, and I have an obligation to express my feelings toward this show clearly.
You know, I've tried to love the show. I actually try hard. I was willing to believe them when they said "We bring in EU characters to please the fans." However, featuring an EU character shouldn't mean just use their name and likeness. If you wreck their background and/or mannerisms, you're not actually using them, you're just using a vulgar sham. In other words: "It's a trap!"
In honor of my first Featured Article[]
Because this meme looks way better with Charal than with good ol' King Harkinian, doesn't it? Besides, I wonder what's for dinner.
