Last update: 28 February 2022

The following page of the guide describes the Wandering Merchants in Lost Ark. You will find out: what features the merchants have, what they offer, where to find them and at what times.

Who are the wandering merchants?

Wandering merchants in Lost Ark are NPCs with the following traits:

  1. Their appearances are determined by real time, and every merchant has their own schedule (which may overlap for several merchants, though).
  2. However, they always show up at half past a full hour, e.g. 12:30.
  3. They appear in settlements / cities and remain there for 25 minutes - one trader per continent. If several merchants are potentially available on a continent, only one will be available per location.
  4. Merchants aren't visible on the world map - you have to go to the location and you will see them on the mini-map only when you are nearby.
  5. Other players will often share info about a new merchant in the game chat.
  6. Wandering merchants are not Channel dependent.

What do they offer?

The primary goods the Wandering Merchants can offer are:

  1. Two meals - you can use one meal and equip it to your character to increase their stats - however, this feature is available only for higher level characters/equipment.
  2. Rapport Item - items with a heart icon that you can give to rapport-related NPCs to build relationships faster with them. The items offered by merchants will bump the Rapport up by 300-360 points when delivered to the NPC of your choice, and cost 10,000 silver. Very rarely can they offer a higher level item for around 80,000 silver.
  3. Cards - merchants have random cards that you can add to your deck - you will use it later in the game (to get the bonuses you have to collect the full deck). Using a card you already have (adding it to your deck) will convert it into special experience, used to upgrade cards.

Wandering merchants can also be found at the Strongholds but they serve a slightly different purpose there. They stay in your location (at the harbor) for a few hours and offer goods for Seals - a currency obtained by sending out ships on quests (Dispatches). There are three colors available - each merchant prefers a different currency. They offer Rapport items, various resources and rare items. Once your Stronghold reaches level 15 you'll be able to upgrade their offers at the lab.

Merchants at the sea

There are two ships available by default, one with a constant offer and another with a constant offer, with the items available once per day.
