Lead Pipe deals physical damage and is great for attacking mutants who aren't equipped with weapons. You can throw standard hits or charge an attack (hold LMB) When against mutants, use the fact that they are slow - you can safely charge an attack.

A good weapon for attacking organic targets e.g. various types of cyborgs. Keep in mind that the damage output is low and continuous fire is slow. Later on, you can upgrade it e.g. so it fires burst shots.

Magnum is a pistol with a lot of stopping power. Encountered for the first time in Maintenance Deck. To reach the room with the gun, you need to cross narrow (you need to crouch) pathways.

An especially useful advantage of the Magnum is that you can aim for weak points of enemies to eliminate them more efficiently. As expected, the ammunition is scarce, as the weapon uses exotic Osmium-Core Rounds. Leave it for stronger enemies.

Important information about weapons

Our guide tries to show the earliest instances where you can get a particular weapon - System Shock Remake: List of all weapons and grenades - Basics - System Shock Remake Guide

Our guide tries to show the earliest instances where you can get a particular weapon. This doesn't mean that if you don't get it at that moment, you're out of luck - they are also found later in armories around the ship or at corpses. You don't have to carry more weapons of the same type, as you can empty the clips of found weapon, retrieving all possible ammo this way.

Weapons can be upgraded. We exhaust this topic on a dedicated page of the guide, and among upgrades, you can e.g. improve stopping power or increase clip size.

On the quick selection bar, you can place up to 4 weapons and up to 3 types of grenades/mines. Make sure that all quick slots are always used.

Each weapon has a purpose - some e.g. are perfect for killing organic targets, while others for destroying robots/synthetics. Remember to get acquainted with the weapon description which will shed some light on how to use it. Some weapons can have the type of ammunition switched e.g. for rounds that destroy armor easier.

During your adventures, you'll also encounter damaged weapons e.g. at corpses. They cannot be repaired, but you can pick them up and turn into useful Scrap.
