I devoured this! The heroine, who is newly divorced, has always wanted a child but her ex said he didn't want children...until he had an affair with his assistant and got her pregnant. Kit is now trying to have a child on her own via IVF, but is unsuccessful and facing the possibility of not being able to have her own kids, since she's just turned 40.
The hero, Jake, became best friend's with Kit's brother while in prison and is now passing through town on his way to his next job as an underwater welder. Kit's brother asked Jake to check in on her, so he does, and quickly realizes that she needs his assistance. Kit's restaurant is in need of a cook, so Jake agrees to help out...and then he also offers to help Kit get pregnant. Kit tries to keep things clinical and emotionless by having a list of rules (such as no kissing, lights off, and no more touching than necessary) but Jake slowly and surely breaks down her walls (and her rules) one by one.
There was a ton of breeding kink in this book, and Jake had a dirrrrrty mouth ...more

Okay, so this was a bit of a wild one haha. If you've read Lily Mayne's Monstrous series, this is nothing like that. It's very lighthearted with pretty much no angst, lottttsssss of smut, and lots of immature humor (i.e. fart and ball jokes). It was a good way to balance out the other, darker reads I was in the middle of, though I will admit that it probably could've been shaved down a tiny bit in the last chunk. I'm verrrrry curious about the couple that will be in book 2, and plan to pick it up as soon as it releases!

This one was so cute! Which feels strange to say about a book that is mostly smut, but Kathryn Moon always finds a way to add in the feels! The heroine, Hannah, was recently turned into a werewolf against her will, and her attacker has not yet been caught. She's struggling to accept this new part of herself and the changes that occur around the full moon. Due to her strength and increase in hormones, she's afraid that she'll hurt human men, so goes to a monster brothel where she's paired up with a gargoyle named Rafe. Since gargoyles are made of tougher stuff (literally), he tends to be paired with clients who are rougher in the sack, and so is a perfect match for Hannah's werewolf side. However, Hannah doesn't want to hurt Rafe and instead the two navigate how to handle her werewolf instincts in an enjoyable way for both of them.
I was impressed that despite this being very smut-focused, we still got to know the two characters well, and I really felt for them. Hannah because of her struggle to cope with the aftermath of her assault, and Rafe because at the start of the novel he's realizing that he doesn't actually enjoy constantly being a punching bag for clients and wants more. I felt so bad for him when he said how just because he physically is impenetrable and can't be wounded, that doesn't mean that he can't fully feel the pain of someone trying to injure him. Watching them both learn to relax and have fun with sex again was a beautiful (and steamy) journey!

I loved how this book dove right into the action. We meet Eden as she’s running for her life from a group of men who have been tracking her for days, and it’s clear they want her for heinous purposes. She’s survived on her own for four years now since the start of the apocalypse, but things aren’t looking great in her current situation…until she literally runs into three of our heroes and they take an interest. Their offer is protection from the men chasing her and a safe haven back at their base camp…but in return she must give herself to all five of them. Stuck between a rock and a hard place (pun intended) she hesitantly agrees.
As it turns out, not only are all of the heroes ex-Rangers, but they frequented the same kink club before the apocalypse. While Eden was previously married, her sex life with her husband was lackluster, to say the least, so the world of kink is completely new to her. We’re still learning the kinks of all of the men, but let me tell you, what we’ve seen so far has been ...more

This might've been over 700 pages, but I devoured each and every one! Nyla K. books tend to be either verrry hit or verrry miss, and I'm glad to say this one was the former! And it did not hold back on the angst! These two really went through it before they were happy and confident in their relationship with one another. But they were also like two magnets, and no matter how much internal and external conflict tried to rip them apart, Kyran always ended up back at Avi's door.
There was, in typical Nyla K. fashion, a ton of fantastic spice, and yet due to the long page count we also really got to know each of these men and what made them tick. Their romantic and emotional moments were never overshadowed by the sexual, which I really appreciated. I will say it got pretty heavy there at the end, so check trigger warnings.

Okay, so this is officially my favorite in the series by a landslide! Yes, it was steamy af but there was also so much emotion and some domestic moments that I felt was kinda lacking in the previous book. This also made me realize how much I enjoy the dynamic of the heroine being the dom and the hero the sub. I don't see that dynamic often, but now I'm craving similar romances!...more
