This is the first book I have read by this author I liked this book. This book is about kylie Galen has been having not a good summer her parents divorce and her boyfriend dumps her than she was caught at a party with alcohol present her mother than send her to camp, the camp is called shadow falls, kylie than find out the camp is for supernatural. Then she embarks to find out what she is

Though it felt a little preachy at times, things weren't quite as black and white as they seemed. Great tension and an exciting story.

I abso-FREAKING-lutely LOVED this book!! From the first chapter I was hooked, literally I couldn't put the book down!
Kylie is your "normal" teenager, dealing with normal teenager things. Her boyfriend Trey and her broke up, her parents are getting a divorce, and her best friend is changing right before her eyes. Then you enter the fact that Kylie has a stalker; though her stalker is a ghost that only she can see!
Kylie ends up at a party with her friend Sara, and while there she spots her ex Trey with another girl; that in itself is heartbreaking to anyone. Long story short, the party gets busted up by the cops and all the kids that didn't run end up in jail ( Kylie included). After her mom shows up ( even though she called her dad), Kylie finds out that her mom is going to send her to a camp for kids with "problems". After getting on the bus to the camp, Kylie starts to notice that everyone is a little strange.
After Kylie arrives at the camp, she starts getting weird looks and it really freaks her out. When she learns that she is at a camp for Supernatural teens and that she is surrounded by shapeshifters, vampires, werewolves, witches and all sort of Fae; she realistically freaks out. She doesn't believe that she belongs at the camp and trys to come up with ways to get out. Understandably she doesn't believe that she is special like the rest of the campers and is determined not to admit that she has a gift.
There is of course the love triangle with Kyle, Derek( who is half fae), Lucas; whom used to live next to her when they were younger and is also a werewolf.
There are some great parts to the book, and I feel as though I could write for hours about it, but I don't want to spoil anymore than I already have!!!
I can't wait for Awake at Dawn, the next book in the series to come out!!! And i will be heading to my bookstore this weekend to pick up my own copy of Born at Midnight, because this is one book that REALLY needs to be on my bookshelf:)

I loved this book more than I thought I would. I lived the characters and can’t wait to pick up the next book in the series! Reminds me of my favorite YA paranormal books to read a couple years ago! I forgot that I had read and enjoyed C.C. Hunters other books as well!

This book focuses on Della Tsang and Steve (shapeshifter) and takes place between the end of Whispers at Moonrise (Book #04) and Chosen at Nightfall (Book #05). I enjoyed reading more about Della in this book and found it a quick and enjoyable book. I look forward to reading more books in the Shadow Falls world in the future.½

I didn't get very far into the book because I hit a bad and unexpected trigger that left me unable to continue.

This was a great series that I have really enjoyed reading and I wish it wasn't over. I am looking forward to the next series Shadow Falls: After Dark & seeing were it picks up as well as learning more about Della and her adventures.

This book was a great addition to the series and had some great plot twists as well as intriguing character development. I can not wait to read the next book in the series and find out what happens next!

I am really enjoying this series so far and all the characters as well as the twists the story takes. This series has a lot of great characters and I like that their backstories are slowing being revealed to fill out and explain who they are and why they do things. I look forward to learning more about all the characters' pasts as well as seeing how they continue to develop in the next book.

This book was a great continuation from book 1 Born at Midnight and I really enjoyed seeing how all the characters and their relationships are growing. I can't wait to see what happens next in Taken at Dusk!

This book was really fun to read with an interesting plot that keeps you wondering what will happen next. I really liked all the different characters and seeing how they developed throughout the book as well as seeing how the various relationships changed throughout the book. I am really looking forward to the next book!

I originally read this without having read the prequel book Turned at Dark and while it is easy enough to read book first the prequel does a really nice job of introducing the world and Della's character.

This book does a good job of introducing Della Tsang. I have read the Shadow Falls Series before but this book is a nice introduction to the world and I am glad I read it.
