Author from Fort Worth, teacher at Paschal, retired to ranch in Lipan then to Marfa (so I heard). Very good sense of place and characters okay - a little too perfect

Holidays can be murder by Connie Shelton - B

Martin is a new author for me and I enjoyed this unpretentious book so much that I've already requested another of hers from the library.
This reality-based tale is all about land and water rights and features a frightening insight into the Mexico judicial system.
