Tom Mitcheltree

This is a new author for me and an excellent find. Although the book is very short (almost a novella length), Mitcheltree creates great characters and great atmosphere. Grant Reynolds is running from his own ghosts and ends up in Paris where is quickly turns his mundane embassy job into a hunt for The Assasin.

The Dataman is Tom Walkinshaw who makes his living investigating by computer in Portland, Oregon. He looks at data to find lost people, lost answers and just about anything else his customers want. But, now, the police want him to help them find who's shooting graffiti taggers. This book has some flaws but even with them it is a nice, interesting read.
