Make me by Tessa Bailey ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a fun, quirky, rom-com with spice and I soaked it all up. I don't know what it is about these cute cheesy romance books but I will take them up all day everyday. It's a fast read with some loveable characters that I just love. That simple. Its not a 5 star read only because it is a bit cheezier on some parts even for me but I still fully enjoyed it. so 4/5 stars. ( )

I usually get annoyed with the heroines because they tend to be too stupid to live. But in this book it's the other way around. The hero seriously needs to go to a psychiatrist with his issues. But the heroine, Abby, saved this book for me. She was awesome. ( )

Sweet and steamy story. Abby is a rich girl, 24 and straight out of Yale, running her father's hedge fund while he secretly deals with health issues. She and Russell, a construction worker from Queens (woot! woot!) are part of the same friend group, obviously crazy about one another but they friend zone one another for their own reasons. The road to coming together is complicated but mostly lovely. Bailey has gotten better at making the hurdles less ridiculous in later books (the tropes & hurdles here are mostly the same as the newest, Hook Line & Sinker) but I still enjoyed having this audiobook on in the background as I did some work that did not require significant brain space. I might have gone 3.5 if it were possible. I am really glad Bailey's writing has improved, but the story quality is already pretty darn good here. ( )

Quick read. I got annoyed at some of the angsty stuff. But glad to finish the series. ( )
