Faculty attitudes toward online teaching play a crucial role in the overall success of online education initiatives. Research indicates that teachers’ self-efficacy regarding web-based learning significantly influences their willingness to engage with online course development and teaching methods. Specifically, these attitudes are important predictors of how positively faculty approach integrating technology and online teaching practices into their courses, which in turn affects students' learning outcomes and engagement levels in the online environment. During the rapid transition to online education prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, many faculty members faced challenges due to their lack of experience and confidence in teaching online. This led to a reliance on quick and often inadequate solutions, rather than effective research-based methods. Acceptance and commitment to online teaching from faculty can foster a more stable learning environment for students, allowing for better course design and implementation, which is essential for effective online learning. Moreover, some institutions that prioritized professional development for faculty were better prepared to offer quality online courses compared to those that did not actively support their faculty. This difference underscores the importance of faculty attitudes and support in achieving successful online education outcomes. https://bit.ly/3X2eseH

The world of education moves rapidly, and so schools and teachers may face the challenge of keeping themselves up-to-date with the latest developments and innovations. And because of the huge expansion in strategies and resources, finding the right ones may be a difficult job to start with. But how do you give your students the right education, where they actually learn from, while still doing the most advanced and proven way possible? To give more guidance and overview of the supply, Dr. Carl Hendrick and Dr. Jim Heal created #HTLH, the online course to know how learning works and how you can approve your teaching skills in order to make the learning actually happen. Based on their award-winning books ‘How Learning Happens’ and ‘How Teaching Happens’, they give practical advise and background knowledge of how taught education can stick into the student’s memory in the most effective way. In 12 modules, Carl and Jim present the important information you need to know about teaching, debunk ineffective strategies and focus on what you should and shouldn’t do as a teacher. After the course, you will be enriched with new knowledge and skills to improve the student results and give the students the best base for their further educational experience. More information about this course is available at our website. For questions about the course, please contact us by the given options at the following web page: https://lnkd.in/eGtgDD_B

I so enjoyed writing this paper with Jill Willis. The important message for educators is that typical classroom assessment practices are 'fragmented' for students. This may help explain why teachers' intentions for things like learning goals, success criteria, and feedback aren't always generative learning experiences for students. Read the open access paper in Australian Educational Researcher, to find out how to create more coherent Assessment for Learning. https://lnkd.in/gp5XTA55
