The Spirit of the Temple is Ninjago Minifigure introduced in 2023.
Background[]
The Spirit was created by the First Spinjitzu Master to serve as keeper of the Temple of the Dragon Cores. His task was to safeguard the locations of the cores, and reveal them only if asked by one of the First Spinjitzu Master’s descendants. The Spirit awaited such a development for many years. Unfortunately, after the Merge occurred, the Spirit’s altar was thrown down and his essence divided into two halves.
Consumed with anger due to his condition, the two halves of the Spirit attacked the Ninja after they arrived in the temple. His two halves proved impervious to attack, and it was only when Lloyd recognized the fallen altar that a solution dawned on the Green Ninja. He and his friends restored the altar, and the Spirit was reunited and his anger soothed. The spirit then shared the story of the First Spinjitzu Master, the temple, and the cores.
Lloyd then revealed himself as grandson of the First Spinjitzu Master and asked for the locations of the cores. Sensing the truth of his proclamation, the Spirit indicated a series of murals. These depicted the hiding places of the cores: the Mother Garden, the Pinnacle of Crystals, and the Wyldness. Bidding the Ninja farewell, he then disappeared back into his altar, unaware that he had been overheard by the villain Rapton.
