Rope a Dope is an 8-player minigame in Mario Party 7.
Gameplay[]
Both characters on each of the four teams have to walk across a narrow, jagged path. Each team consists of two characters on mirrored paths while tethered together with a rope. As both characters of a team go along, a character must stop momentarily while their teammate walks along their path to loosen the rope, then other character then walks across the mirrored version of the path, trying to decrease the tension of the rope between the two characters. When the mirrored paths are nearby, both characters can move quickly until the next path arrives. If the rope stretches too far, both characters fall into the darkness. The first team to reach the goal wins.
