Synopsis[]

Early one morning, Sora is jogging and after she stops to watch the sunrise, a tired Mashiro catches up to her. She tells Sora that she wants to be more of use to her, hence why Mashiro has started training. Mashiro then tells Sora "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", which Sora writes down in her diary. Mashiro is shocked to find out how Sora quickly picked up writing in Japanese. After she asks Sora if she will become stronger if she runs every morning, Sora tells Mashiro she's fine the way she is before her stomach starts to growl.

After the two arrive back at Mashiro's house, they hear someone arrive. Sora opens the door when a young woman greets her and hugs her, thinking she is Mashiro. After some confusion, the actual Mashiro joins them, identifying the woman as Ageha, who decides to visit while running errands. Ageha then tells Sora that she and Mashiro used to be neighbors when they were younger, but when Ageha learned that she had to move to another town, she ran away.

After Mashiro tells Ageha to cut the story short, Ageha introduces herself to Sora and states a few facts about herself. Sora follows by introducing herself and accidentally blurts out that she and Ellee-chan are from another world, with Mashiro stopping her. When Sora ends up digging herself even further into a hole, she tells Ageha to forget everything she said, but Ageha still hopes they'll tell her everything someday.

Later that day, Ageha goes to enroll in the Welfare and Nursery Care Vocational School after hearing that the one in Sorashido City puts a child's emotional well-being first and she wants to be the best nursery school teacher. Meanwhile, Sora, Mashiro, and Ellee-chan wait outside as Mashiro explains about Ageha's dream of being a nursery school teacher. Sora then asks Mashiro what she wants to be when she grows up, but Mashiro realizes that she doesn't have an idea about her aspirations. She starts to mull things over, but she starts to believe that she doesn't have any talent compared to her peers.

Just then, a strange purple pig passes them by and starts to walk toward a mushroom set up under a basket. Mashiro realizes straight away that this is a trap set up by Kabaton, but Sora impulsively rescues the pig before it can walk into the trap. Just then, the gem on the pig's head glows and a cloud of black smoke appears, with the pig revealing himself to be Kabaton. He then reveals that while Sora was distracted, he took her Mirage Pen, much to everyone's shock. He then summons a Ranborg using the mushroom. While at school, Ageha watches from the principal's office and notices Sora and Mashiro are also there, and she heads there to join them.

Kabaton orders the Ranborg to grab Ellee-chan when Sora tries to kick its tentacles out of the way, only for them to wrap around her leg and pull her away before restraining her. Ageha arrives and calls out to Mashiro while Sora tells them to take Ellee-chan somewhere safe, leaving Mashiro with no choice but to hide with Ageha in the school. Unbeknownst to them, Kabaton summons another smaller Ranborg to follow them. Inside the school, Ageha and a concerned Mashiro run up the stairs, and as Mashiro starts to run out of stamina, Ellee-chan senses a Mirage Pen within her.

The three of them make it to the roof when Kabaton orders them to hand over Ellee-chan. Sora tells Mashiro not to come out, but Kabaton makes a piece of tape appear over Sora's mouth, silencing her. When no one responds to Kabaton, he snaps his fingers and causes more tentacles to appear from the Ranborg and torture Sora. While Ageha tries to think of what to do, Mashiro decides that she has to go down and help Sora. She thinks of everything Sora has told her so far and it strengthens Mashiro's determination to save her, which causes a bright light to glow from her and her Mirage Pen appears.

Sora is surprised by the appearance of the pen while Kabaton transports to the top of the Ranborg to get a better look. Mashiro wonders if she can really become a Pretty Cure and reaches for the pen, but Kabaton tells her to stop and reminds her that someone as powerless as her can't become one, which causes her to doubt herself. Just when Mashiro starts to think she's not good enough, Ageha reminds Mashiro of the time she came to her after she ran away, promising to write and call her after she moved and that Ageha would cry more if she saw Mashiro cry. Ageha learned "to be kind is to be strong" and to not let anyone tell Mashiro that she's not good enough. With her determination back, Mashiro takes the Mirage Pen and Ellee-chan summons her Sky Tone, allowing her to transform into Cure Prism.

Everyone stands in surprise at Prism's appearance, but Kabaton stands his ground and orders the second Ranborg to attack. Prism jumps out of the way, but she puts so much power into that jump that she flies toward a building. Just as Kabaton sees an opening, Prism regains her bearings and launches back at the Ranborg with a powerful kick that knocks Kabaton off the top of the first Ranborg and causes him to let go of Sora's Mirage Pen. Prism then fires her light spheres at the Ranborg, freeing Sora and allowing her to catch her pen and transform into Cure Sky again. Kabaton orders the second Ranborg to attack Sky while she isn't looking, but Prism is able to stop it before anything happens and fights it herself. Sky uses Sky Punch to purify the first Ranborg while Prism uses Prism Shot to purify the second one. Shocked at the turn of events, Kabaton teleports away.

Prism de-transforms back into Mashiro and drops to her knees, causing Sora to run to her aid, but Mashiro says that it was just because of her nerves. Sora then apologizes to Mashiro for not being good enough, but Mashiro tells her never to think that way, echoing what Ageha told her earlier. Mashiro is Sora's precious friend, which leaves Sora teary-eyed while Ageha joins the two. They thank her for protecting Ellee-chan while Ageha thinks that she can't just forget about a day like this.
